Exceptional in every single way - from order to delivery
I initially saw an ad on Facebook for a Sloom Mattress, and I was skeptical. I did some digging and found great reviews, so took the plunge and ordered my new sloom mattress. I ordered on Tuesday night at 20:30 and my mattress was delivered today, Thursday before 10:00. I am in an outlying area, so I was fully expecting to wait 5-7 business days to get my bed delivered. My husband has had serious back operations, and we found ourselves buying a new orthopedic coil and pillow top mattress every couple of years. Our old mattress (old is relative - its probably only 3 years old at this point) has started aging prematurely, so it was on our radar to purchase a new one. I simply cannot rate the customer service highly enough. Constant WhatsApp updates, and the fast shipping was astounding. When we unboxed the bed, the instructions were clear and concise and once we had selected our firmness gave the bed some time to "puff up" My husband went to test it out, and for the first time in over a month, he has been able to lie on his back, pain free. We haven't even spent a full night on the mattress yet and I am completely sold. Just the fact that he could lie down pain free was worth every cent. We were so impressed that I immediately ordered the Mattress Topper. The sloom team can teach a lot of companies in South Africa about customer service. The thoughtful welcome pack with clear instructions was an added bonus, especially since one reviewer said they didnt get instructions. I mean it's not rocket science but it helped in selecting the firmness.

Had I known that my lower back and hip flexor pain would have been alleviated by a Sloom mattress, I would have invested in one a long time ago.Best purchase I have made in a long time. Outstanding service and communication from the manufacturer as well.

Lovely mattress but hot.
The mattress feels warm and comfortable, and after two months it still seems like a good choice. Sales service was good. It does need rotating every two weeks initially. We initially tried the medium firmness, but since we’re both side sleepers, the soft option works best for us. The two downsides are the mattress for a person who is permanently hot, is warm and so we bought the cooling protector. The cooling mattress protector was replaced after we complained, but it still feels oversized for the bed and certainly has not helped with the heat. I could not recommend this cooling protector, in fact a normal mattress protector will do the job fine.

I know I should have waited, but my excitement got the better of me. I’m really sad about this and just hope the rest of my order arrives soon.

what customer service FAQ warning on website
be very careful when logging a return with them. their FAQ state bedframes can be returned open and used for a full refund within 7 days of purchase....... i do not want a full refund just exchange for a different size frame and headboard. Received said order on friday 02/01/2026 assembled 04/01/2026 noticed size was incorrect logged a return for exchange disassembled the frame packed all into original packaging , received a message today 05/01/2026 there will be a R1000 service fee to return something that is now considered used and no longer sellable

Just get it!!!
It's only been a little over a week, and I can't tell you how happy I am. We've had a hard time finding a good mattress, even after buying a new one and adding a mattress topper to try and make it better. Nothing felt right until we got our first Sloom mattress. It's still early, but we haven't needed to make any changes because it's so comfortable. The delivery was quick, and unboxing was easy. I really recommend Sloom to everyone. The best part is that you can try the mattress first and then return or get a refund if you want to, even if you don’t need to because it's just that good. I would tell anyone to get this mattress. No more sleepless nights, tossing and turning, or waking up sore. No more feeling grumpy. Just get it!!!
