Low quality workmanship & poor aftersales service
👎 Extremely Disappointed with SolarPower.co.za's Customer Service 👎 I recently purchased a new home with a solar system already installed by SolarPower.co.za, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the beginning, I reached out to the company seeking assistance and a better understanding of the system. Unfortunately, their customer service was abysmal. Three months after my electricity account was activated, I received a shocking bill of R10,000. I immediately raised this issue with the company, hoping for some resolution. However, their after-sales service was nonexistent, filled with unkept commitments and excuses. I even attempted to engage with the owner, but it became painfully clear that their interest only increased when discussing new panel sales, rather than addressing my pressing issue of a hefty bill. In desperation, I turned to my neighbors, who directed me to their own service provider. To my amazement, this other company promptly assisted me. I couldn't help but wonder why SolarPower.co.za, a company paid in full for their services, couldn't do the same, even though a warranty is still in existence. To add insult to injury, my neighbors' solar setup is a night-and-day comparison to mine. Their system is neatly installed with all cords concealed, exuding elegance. In contrast, my installation looks like a rushed job with mismatched components, exposed cords, and makeshift coverings. I would rate my neighbors' installation a 9 out of 10, while the one by SolarPower.co.za barely sc****s by with a 4 out of 10, and their after-sales service deserves a resounding zero. It's evident that SolarPower.co.za is more interested in chasing sales profits than in providing adequate after-sales service, demonstrating a complete lack of customer care and an overall poor standard of workmanship. I'm now in discussions with the service provider recommended by my neighbors, hoping for a much-needed improvement in my solar experience. #PoorCustomerService #SolarPowerNightmare 😡🔌🏠

Poor After Sales Service
I see number of positive reviews about the installation of their PV systems. I concur with that. The installation was neat and professional. But then I also concur with the reviews about aftersales service. My system has never worked properly but I eventually just got tired of incompetent technicians who attempted to fix one problem but in so doing just created another. In one instance there was an explosion in my DB when one of them was working on the system. Then another technician came and whilst looking at the DB said ""this not how we normally wire the system". That is weird, YOU installed the system!!! He left it at that - seemed like to much effort to fix it. I have now given up on them and taken it upon myself do deal directly with Goodwe (the inverter manufacturer). After extensive troubleshooting with Goodwe they discovered that it is the wiring of the system that is the problem and someone needs to come and check it. They asked if I have someone, but if not they would recommend someone!! You can guess what I said!!! Now I am waiting for their recommendation. Perhaps after 3 years my system will eventually work correctly. So, if after sales service is important to you then I would NOT recommend these guys!

Very knowledgeable and excellent prices
I was impressed by the knowledge and experience of SolarPower.co.za as well as the wide product offering. Made it easy for me to decide on the best solution for my home, including type of inverter and batteries to use. Their prices was also very competitive. Installation was quick and very neat. I'm very impressed with them

Very knowledgeable and excellent prices
I was impressed by the knowledge and experience of SolarPower.co.za as well as the wide product offering. Made it easy for me to decide on the best solution for my home, including type of inverter and batteries to use. Their prices was also very competitive. Installation was quick and very neat. Good consistent service
SolarPower installed my system about 7years ago. I had great service from them over the years; quick to resolve to the one issue I had originally and several questions over the years. I've now expanded the system and they again did a great job. I can recommend them

Good consistent service
SolarPower installed my system about 7years ago. I had great service from them over the years; quick to resolve to the one issue I had originally and several questions over the years. I've now expanded the system and they again did a great job. I can recommend them

Great and efficient.
Great service from these guys. The installers was on time. Worked very neat. All of them wore masks. They cleaned after they completed the job. ( I think my garage is cleaner after they left). I would really recommend Solarpower for your solar or backup needs.

About 4 years ago, SolarPower.co.za installed a solar system at my house. It worked like a charm. I recently sold my house, and believe having a solar system made a big difference in selling the house. So as soon as I moved into my new house, I contacted SolarPower.co.za again and had a new solar system installed at my new house.
