Dishonest and highly unprofessional
Marco Snell and his company was contracted for re-installing a garden fence at my house in the Southern Suburbs on January 17 this year, however as of March 11 he has never completed the job and kept the full deposit and extra payments for materials while never showing up to finalize the task. This business owner cannot be trusted, he kept making excuses for not coming and in the end admitted that he never ordered the required spare parts for which he was paid directly. The half completed work itself was below standards. Based on my own experience in this case, I don’t recommend anyone to engage with him

POOR SERVICE FROM SPEEDY GARAGE DOORS
<div>This company was recommended to us by a neighbor who said they delivered a good service. In doing my due diligence, my first port of call was to HelloPeter where I found several posts of poor service delivery. I then spoke to the owner of the business and adressed the specific issues. The owner informed me that several of the comments were true but were outside of his control as the issues reported were because of his former partners. Based on the recomendation I granted the contract to this company to install a motorised garage door and motorised gate. Building work was in progress at the time so there was a delay between granting the contract and the installation. On installation, I was informed by the installer that my builder had built the garage door opeing incorrectly (not sure how that qualification can be made) but it nevertheless cost me extra to have the job completed. Subsequently the garage door came off its tracks and the cable also unravelled and the torsion spring came loose. The installer was contacted and took a while for them to get back on site to remedy the situation. Subsequently electricity was installed for the gate to be wired. The wiring was done and I was sent video of the gate opening and closing, however we later found that this was on the backup battery. Owing to Eskom outages and related challenges, when the electricity went live, we discovered a dead short which tripped the electrics. The installer was immediately informed around 3 April 2023, where he responded that my electrician had incorrectly connected up the electrical supply. Despite promises to do repairs on 17 April 2023 and missing the appointment with a further commitment to do the repair on 19 April 2023 we have not yet had the repair done. On investigation we did find that the power supply to the motor had been incorrectly wired by the installer. This person has been paid in full for the equipment and I am left with an installation which is only partially working. It is quite important for me to have these items electrified as I have 2 replaced hips and a replaced knee. Continuous getting out of the car to close gates is a strain, besides I have paid for the convenience. Please do not remove my post again I have tried to be as objective as possible, however, consumers need to be aware of the type of service available from this company</div>

I have read the reviews on this page and decided to give them a chance because they gave me feasible reasons why they got the reviews they did. They installed a gate and a garage door for me. To now the gate automation has never worked, and the Garage door has had to be re-installed because of poor workmanship. When requested to return to fix defects, they just do not turn up. When speaking to other people in the industry to reference the work, I was told that they used second hand materials, and that they have a bad reputation. Nobody is willing to work on any installation they have done, so you cannot even get someone to fix the installation. Marco Snell claims to be religious and is reputed to be a priest. When confronted with all of these issues, his standard response is that other people are jealous of him and are just trying to bring him down. DONT FALL FOR THIS CON. A neighbor had him do a repair on her door. He quoted on new panels but instead of replacing, he repaired the old panels and put them back and has since never come back to fix his mess.

Dishonest
Marco Snell is a fraudster. He request a 70% deposit for installation of a glass garage door and never delivers. He delayed installation with several excuses - no stock, supplier didn’t order the door and then an issue with transport from Jnb. After three months of delays did he tell us that there was an increase in cost of our garage door and requested more money before he could install our door. This was were we smelled a rat and requested our money back. We are still waiting for a full refund of our money. Don’t trust Marco Snell.

Dishonest
Marco Snell is a fraudster. He request a 70% deposit for installation of a glass garage door and never delivers. He delayed installation with several excuses - no stock, supplier didn’t order the door and then an issue with transport from Jnb. After three months of delays did he tell us that there was an increase in cost of our garage door and requested more money before he could install our door. This was were we smelled a rat and requested our money back. We are still waiting for a full refund of our money. Don’t trust Marco Snell.

DISHONEST THIEF
DISHONEST Marco Snell, owner of Speedy Garage Doors is a very dishonest person and belongs in jail. Mr. Snell commits fraud accepting deposit money for garage doors from potential customers and then never delivers the product. We have contacted Marco Snell for the first time in May 2019 and ordered a glass garage door, worth, at that stage R42 750.00 from him. After a very lengthy timeframe and numerous promises, we have discovered that Mr. Snell never ordered the garage door from his supplier in Johannesburg. We requested our 70% deposit back. Mr. Snell made the deposit payment, minus an amount of R10 300.00. Up to date, nearly two years later, we are still struggling to obtain the remainder of the deposit money back from Mr. Snell. Do not do business with this extremely dishonest person. Also search for further reviews under only MARCO SNELL. Marco Snell is "running" his own Ponzi scheme with his customer's money. He steals from one person to pay back the other and never intends to order/deliver any products. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON!!!!!

BEWARE OF THIS DISHONEST COMPANY SPEEDY GARAGE DOORS
This company does not pay their suppliers & are dishonest! On 3 June 2020 at 09:58am he took stock out of our shop to the value of R5319 which included a Gate motor. As he was a regular customer we allowed him to do a payment electronically because he seemed like a trustworthy man. Up to date never paid. He got paid for the job he did for the customer with OUR gate motor, but decided to scam a small business struggling in a tough economy & keep our money. This constitutes FRAUD & THEFT He had 7 months to pay us off. We have numerous messages documented between him and Lindsay where he promised to do payments from 2020 till now. Even after he heard she was personally responsible for HIS debt, he still failed to pay! He even lied about making the payment & was planning to send us proof of EFT! So somewhere out there is a customer with a stolen gate motor with no guarantee, as we informed the Manufacturer. Don't use this dishonest company - Marco Snell or Marco Snelltrain Snell - Speedy Garage Doors & Gates

Completely agree with prior reviews... Marco Snell is a conman!! Full of excuses once you pay him the 70% deposit. He never comes back or answers calls after he banked the 70% deposit. He is a thief and fraudster! His suppliers do not want to work with him anymore so it will be impossible for him to get your product. But he still will sell you and run away with your deposit... Be careful!!!
