Definitely worth the visit. Was shopping around for a new car. Visited this branch to browse the new cars in the showroom and to get some literature. Had a very good experience from the time I walked into the branch. The staff and sales team are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all their products. I was informed about various options and prices. I was even told and given an about the servicing costs for different models and the extended warranty options for the vehicles. Worth the visit.

Think twice before buying one as parts are almost never available and usually take anywhere from a month to a month and a half to arrive from overseas. Ssangyoung South Africa will not hold stock if it’s not a common part in their service. So glow plugs is considered a non essential part and one will wait that long. Never again Ssangyoung will we buy a vehicle of yours.

We bought a Korando brand new, on 35 000km the gearbox packed up and SangYong South Africa replaced it under warranty with a "off the market" gearbox, a import that nobody can work on. The "new "gearbox gave problems from the start and we were told by SangYong Menlyn that its the oil which was replaced at every service. Now the gearbox packed up and nobody not even SangYong can repair the imported gearbox...and SangYong South Africa's reply is to s**** the car ?. If we knew SangYong was such a terrible brand we would never have bought the car. Terrable

My 68 year old father bought a brand new Sangyong Korando in November 2012 with a extended warranty. From the start the auto gearbox was giving them issues and Sanyong decided to replace the gearbox. One month after the car was paid off in 2016 the gearbox failed again and Sanyong told them that they are not responsible because the car has just gone out of warranty ? and that their extended warranty ran in conjunction with their normal warranty ? so the extended warranty was only in place while the factory warranty were in place ?. They took it to a gearbox repair shop and now they are told that there is only 5 2012 KORANDO's in S.A. with that type of gearbox and that no one knows how to repair it..? it has cost them thousands and the gearbox is still not working....now I had enough !. I am about to go legal and will not stop until Sanyong has paid for this terrible service. We are going on every social media platform available to us because that is not right !!! My father is 68 years old. His only mistake was to buy a peace of **** car from a terrible manufacturer. Shame on you. How can a extended warranty run with a factory warranty ?.

I bought a new Ssangyong Korrando and after 4 months of having the car I have to replace brakes, radio and steering rack. No all of a sudden no one is to blame and Ssangyong Mahindra don't even answer their phones. The dealership just pull up their shoulders and say it's a factory fault. So does that mean I must sit with a brand new \second hand car". No one comes back to you"

I took my car to Ssangyong in Boksburg for its 80 000km service. The technician recommended that the CV's be replaced as they were faulty/worn. They said that they would order the parts and let me know when I could bring in the vehicle for the CV's to be fitted. I have since taken it for it's 90 000km service and complained at the branch more than 3 times and it has still not been done. My car is sitting at 101 000km now and is about to run out of the warranty plan( I assume this is the modus operandi) so that they do not have to pay for it. This is completely and utterly unacceptable. These crooks should be closed down.
