I BOOKED STORAGE AND TRANSPORT WITH COLIN CHEESEMAN AT STORAGE KING RANDBURG. LITERALLY 15 MINUTES WENT BY, I ASKED HIM TO HOLD ON AS MY CIRCUMSTANCES HAD CHANGED. THIS IS ALL ON EMAIL, AND I CALLED COLIN!!! THEY ARE TELLING ME THEY WILL REFUND IN 40 DAYS!!! THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY IS BEYOND DISGUSTING. WHAT COULD HE POSSIBLY HAVE DONE IN 15 MINUTES TO ONLY PAY BACK 50% OF MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Peter I kept my belongings(furniture and clothes)at storage king.I sent them two emails stating that I am moving at the end of January and they ignored my message and just sent an email saying that I must make sure that my account is fully paid.Upon checking the ledger I noticed that there are charges of late payment and failed debit ordersI contacted their finance department and I was informed that I paid late and the debit orders bounces.I then asked them what are the payment types that are stipulated in my contract and they said that it is either a debit order or an EFT payment.Their debit orders go off on the 25th of each month and I get paid on the 28th.I would do an EFT payment and then send proof of payment to to one of the finance guys. I was shocked and appalled when I saw that I now owe these amounts and I was informed that it was because I cancelled a debit from my account.My question was to them why would they debit when I have already paid?They answered by saying that they hadn’t seen payment.I send proof of payment every month,why don’t they reconcile their accounts effectively?They mentioned that I paid late in December and then I sent them the POP again which showed that I paid on the first and the 30th of December 2025,yet there is a late payment fee for December.I am tired of going back and forth with them I just want my belongings.IlWhen I took my belongings to be stored by them I stayed at a place that had furniture so I didn’t have to have furniture or electronics at the time.Now I am without a fridge and microwave which a not a luxury but a need.I have medication that needs to be stored in a fridge but I have been forced to go without a fridge.I had to move from PTA and Leave my things behind and just move with the ones that I had at the time.Going back and forth is costly and time consuming.I hope this matter gets sorted out as I am emotionally exhausted.Why does one company have so many bad reviews?

I stored my belongings from October to January.I sent them two emails that we are moving out it then all of a sudden I owe money.I have never paid rent later than the 3rd of each month,but they say that I paid my rent late so they added an additional fee.I would send proof of payment each and every time I paid my rent.Now they are claiming that they didn’t know that I was paying. I want my belongings and they now state that I can’t get my belongings without paying the amount for failed debit orders and rent for February which I informed them in due time that I would be moving out.This company is actually a bully and uses the fact your belongings are with them and that you need them as leverage.So how am I going to survive without a fridge and a microwave?Will they offer their houses for me to store and cook my food there?I am utterly disappointed and disgusted by that company and for your sanity do not store your belongings there.

I paid for a premium moving and storage service with Storage King, including packing and protective wrapping. Storage King inspected our home beforehand, provided a quote, and we paid in full to secure the booking. On collection day, we were told some items did not fit and we had to pay for additional storage units, despite the prior inspection. I raised concerns about the poor wrapping on the day with the supervisor, who appeared defensive rather than receptive. The full extent of the damage only became apparent later. My 65-inch TV was wrapped in a thin throw from my couch. A large bevelled mirror was wrapped in one of my curtains, ruining the curtain and breaking the mirror. Several framed artworks were poorly wrapped, resulting in significant damage. When I contacted Storage King, I was told I should have taken insurance. This was not an insurance issue. It was poor assessment and worse execution. I regret not paying closer attention to reviews before booking. The concept is good, but the service fell well below professional standards. Due to upload limits, only a few photos are attached.

Please, no matter how desperate you are for storage or a removal company, do not use Storage King. This is my personal experience: My valuable items went missing while in their care, and when I checked my storage unit, my belongings had been replaced with cushions and bathroom carpets. I later discovered that my items had been auctioned without my consent or proper notification. I raised this with them and they denied everything — until I recently found proof. This has been a devastating and unacceptable experience. Please be cautious.

WORST EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE EVER! I will NEVER recommend anyone to make use of Storage King. The "containers" you order turns out to be 2mx1.5m wooden crates. You WILL end up with no choice but to use more crates - paying 2 to 3 times more than budgeted for. "Platforms" can only hold 1 item - rest will be stuffed into crates - just to make you pay more They have no regard for your property - no protection. Afterward they will inform that you had to "buy" protection sheets from them Your damages will be extreme - mine more than R15 000 and unrepairable Afterward insurance - that you paid for - is only for "fire and theft" and they don't care about your damages Late fees are charged every 15 days - you end up paying more than double. No need to communicate - they stick to pay, or your goods will go on auction. No need to contact the owners - Mr Rodriques. He also stick to T&C's All boils down to "it is the customer's own fault" An answer for everything. It was so bad had my goods picked-up and stored by another company. The don't care attitude is just astonishing. Disgusting Wish I could post photo's of how crates are packed and horrific damages! Oh yes - shop around - they are definitely more expensive than other companies Just don't go there

All I am going to say to anyone using them ...Use your own good locks ..not the cheap dime a dozen Cheap Chinese ones where numerous other keys will fit .? Why ? Missing boxes thats why .. Could only gave been taken out while in their care . I have lost boxes of tools as well as a box containing my full military dress and equipment .Probably sold off to some war store for pennies .
