We purchased a slush machine from Sunrose on 23 September 2025. It was unboxed brand new at our client’s premises and did not work. We returned it the following week and were told we had broken it. To avoid delays, we paid for the repair. After more than a month, it was returned — still not working. It was sent back again, and now, five months later (23 February 2026), the machine is still in their possession along with our R18,000. We cannot get hold of the manager, Lorenzo, have been given invalid email addresses, and despite requesting a refund, we are told they cannot confirm receipt. The machine has never worked once. This is unacceptable and appears to be in contravention of the Consumer Protection Act. We will be taking this further.

DON'T BUY from them, you will lose your Money. No Refunds/no exchange/ no returns - even if not working!!!! They dont give a s....t about customer service - once they have your money. CPA obviously does not apply to them and they are getting away with it.

I purchased over R30000 worth of equipment from them in early October. I drove to their premises in order to choose my products, paid for it, load it in my car and leave with it. They did not have 1 candy floss machine in stock as well as 1 dome I purchased from them which was supposedly to come from Pretoria. They still wantede to pay for the courier fee on top of everything else as well and I refused. I told them that I will not pay for a courier fee as I have just spent over R30000 in their store and they did not have the stock on hand and that they can courier it to my door at their cost. At the end of the day, I still had to collect my other candy floss machine from them myself and they still did not have the dome in stock, claiming they will send it via courier. On the 28th of October I was told after enquiring again, that the courier is collecting today, and I will be receiving it the next day. To this day, nothing received as yet. They don't take my calls, do not respond to what's apps. This morning I asked them to give me a refund as they still have not delivetas promised. They told me they won't as the dome is in store. I am no longer interested in the dome with such poor service delivery and will not be dealing with this company again, except if there is something wrong with their products still under guarantee. This is the worst service I have ever received in my life. One expects to build a good business relationship with a company and then this is the type of service you get. Unhappy customer. This company should be shut down and the assets of those behind it should be confiscated and put behind bars for good. I purchased cold room panels from them mistakenly I paid them twice using my phone banking app - banking with the same bank - while in their store in Mondeur, Johannesburg … they received the notification twice, my phone never gave me any notification of paying twice - yet none of them cared to warn me that I paid them twice .. I only discovered that when I returned home late in the evening and opened my banking app on my laptop .. I compiled the proofs and send it to their sales rep Shaheed - next morning he acknowledged receiving the funds twice and that he is sending a message to his accounts department to refund me, he undertook that they refund me shortly in the course of the day, but but but .. nothing is coming - second day and third day same story … I asked Shaheed for the phone number of the owner Zaheer A****aker in Durban - Shaheed said: Zaheer does not control the Jhb branch … what owner is he if he doesn’t control all the branches - I guess he didn’t want to give me his number - but I got it through people I know - on the 4th day I spoke to him and after hearing what he doesn’t like to hear at all - and here I don’t mean police or court cases etc but physical and business overhaul - and few other friends called him also - he called me stating: my apology; I will refund you now and he did refund me … In essence; I received my refund, but it was a real battle which shouldn’t have been at all … so, from me, be warned - these people are dirty, ****s are written all over their business … recommendation from me is: 5 red stars .. their assets should be liquidated or confiscated and they should be locked up behind bars for good.

WARNING TO ALL. I am totally disgusted in them and wish I could give them a minus 5 star review. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Stay away from them. Bought cold room panels and accessories from them for a lot of money. At first the salesman was eagerly helping and following up with me. They wanted a full payment that was done before supplying. On receiving the products, all this changed. The goods was poor quality, second hand, damaged and some missing. When querying and complaining to them, they had lots of excuses, the salesman (Fayaz) was no longer available and you can't get hold of any management. They don't come back to you, take any blame, has no public relations and ghosts you. They lack accountability and are pathetic at customer service. It's unacceptable for a business to treat new or any customers this way. They take your money and disappear. They deserve what's coming to them.

I would like to warn anyone who wants to buy something online from Sunrose Online. I ordered a a Food Chip Warmer for R2999.00 on the 9th of June 2025 I paid with a direct bank transfer. When the item didn't turn up after 2 weeks - despite the ad that the courier will deliver 2-5 days, I phoned the online number which turns out to be in Overport Durban. Slee is the person dealing with all orders and enquiries. She informed me that the Chip Fryer was ****** by the courier guy they used. I asked her if I could not obtain it directly from the shop in Overport which she agreed to. I sent my chef to collect it. He brought it to my coffee shop but it was not the model I had ordered. I sent him back with the item and asked for a refund as they did not have the model advertised on their website. Nothing happened. I phoned Slee who told me there is nothing wrong with the chip warmer. I asked her to kindly refund my money as I do not want the chip warmer they sent and have returned it after all. She put the phone down in my ear and I have been unsuccessful so far in trying to speak to her. She does not answer my calls or my WhatsApp messages. I have tried all the numbers on their website , even the "Support" cell number absolutely no-one answered or came back to me. So be aware - you will lose your money to these *****sters.
