Based on recent customer reviews, Sygnia is facing significant dissatisfaction, with customers consistently raising concerns about delayed provident fund and two-pot withdrawal payouts. A recurring theme is poor communication, where clients describe being ignored, receiving conflicting updates, or chasing administrators who fail to follow up. Many mention frustration with the contact centre, escalations that go nowhere, and tax or IRP5 errors causing additional stress. While a small number of customers highlight standout agents who resolved issues efficiently, the overwhelming sentiment reflects eroded trust and concerns about administrative competence in handling hard-earned retirement funds.

I was retrenched from Nutun on 5 April 2026 and submitted a provident fund withdrawal claim with Sygnia on 7 April 2026. Despite numerous emails and multiple phone calls over the past almost two months, I have still not received my payout. The level of service I have experienced from Sygnia has been extremely disappointing. The call centre agents appear unable to provide any meaningful assistance and continuously promise that the administrator handling my matter will contact me, yet no callback has ever been received. In addition, there have been several occasions where my calls were placed on hold for extended periods and then disconnected without resolution. I am extremely frustrated by the constant delays, poor communication, and lack of accountability from Sygnia. This process has caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult time following my retrenchment. I would appreciate urgent intervention and immediate payment of the funds owed to me.

The worst experience I have ever had with a financial business! Stay away from these people. They don't respond to emails , don't even get me started about calls. I sent an email regarding my withdrawal on the 19th on May and I made my submissionon the 30th. Till date, I have not had a response. Pathetic individuals that work there! I then sent Tareeq Hendricks an email, not even an automated response came back. When you ask to speak to a manager, expect a warped excuse. Don't do it.

I sent my withdrawal documents to my employer on the 7th and on the same day I received an sms from Sygnia that they are busy with processing my claim. I called a week later I was advised that the the claim will be paid within 15 working days. Today I received a paid in full membership certificate. I then called and I was advised that they have sent my file for disinvestment then that's when they will apply for tax directive. Guys this is a beginning stage of processing my claim. what do you mean for 11 working days you have not been doing anything?? The time frame you gave me was a lie. The lady I just spoke kept quiet when I asked why are they only starting to process my claim noe. I need my money. PLEASE stop lying to people

On 14 April 2026 I submitted my claim for my savings pot after resignation. Advised of the 21 day period and expected payment by 6 May 2026. Following up by email the 6th, my claim was still within tax stage. I mean, the time frame has passed??? I again, followed up by phone call a week later and STILL - in tax stage and payment will be expected by Monday 18 May. I still have not received any payment. I will be moving my invested pot to a company that adheres to their time frames and provides much better contact than Sygnia ever has. It's 19 May - and still no payment.

Sygnia has the worst communication ever. They don't respond to emails even when you do follow-ups regarding your provident fund claim. Tashreeq Hendricks and the team have don't value clients. Till today I have not received feedback regarding the status of my claim. Pathetic honestly.

I am extremely frustrated by the misleading communication I have received regarding my provident fund claim. I have been waiting for my funds since 31 March 2026. I was informed by the Administrator, Nerisha, that the funds were released on 5 April 2026. However, to date, I have still not received payment, nor have I been provided with a clear explanation for the delay. I request urgent clarification on the status of my claim and immediate resolution of this matter.
