Extremely disappointing after-sales service from both Tafelberg and KIC. A product still under warranty was rejected based on a technicality, with no effort to fairly assess the situation or support the customer. Instead, the response was procedural and dismissive — effectively shifting all responsibility back to me. There was no attempt at goodwill, no partial support, and no real resolution — just a closed case and an offer to pay for repairs on a product that should have been covered. This experience raises serious concerns about how these companies honour their warranties in practice versus what is advertised. I would not rely on their warranty support going forward.

There was a hiccup with the delivery of our Tafelberg purchased furniture and appliances to Kleinmond, Western Cape last year. On contacting the Tafelberg CEO, Mr Riaan Lamprecht, he arranged a special delivery the following day, which was a Saturday and a non-delivery day to this particular area. Since then we have bought many products from Tafelberg and have found the service to be exceptional. Well done to Riaan and his team.

Absolutely horrible service since June 2025. We have been having constant issues with our Bosch fridge that is freezing and is only 3 years old. The fridge has an extended warranty which we paid a lot for (over and above paying for a premium product like Bosch). We have had service agents come out five times and the fridge was repaired three times. The one service agent from Bosch said that there is nothing further that can be repaired and the fridge will have to be replaced. The fridge is still freezing now in February 2026 and each time Tafelberg has not provided any solution aside from sending service agents out who don't know what they're doing. I have been told that I am not packing the fridge correctly which is a lie, and on occasions when the fridge has been virtually empty, it's still freezing. I also specifically asked one of the agents if the way in which the fridge is packed makes a difference, to which he said no. This is absolutely ridiculous and I have lost so much of money in food that is freezing and spoiling in the fridge. I was offered a loan fridge from the branch today while my fridge gets taken in to be assessed at Bosch's warehouse. The state of the loan fridge is **********, has one shelf and is visibly broken and damaged. Furthermore it did not fit in the space where my fridge was. I am positive no staff member at Tafelberg would use something in that state so to offer it to me as a customer completely undermines me. I am now without a fridge, having to throw out all the food that has gone bad and they have said they can only deliver another loan fridge on Monday (the fridge was taken on Thursday). I have purchased every single appliance in my house from Tafelberg Diep River and after this experience, I will never purchase from them again. Their after sales service is non existent and absolutely unacceptable and I have been beyond understanding in this situation.

My wife and me equipped a new family home with various kitchen applies, TV, washing machine, dryer, etc. We have been advised and helped by Mr Grant Hendricks, Northgate branch, Paarden Island, Cape Town. We are very, very pleased and grateful about his services. He managed storing and right-in-time delivery to the construction. He acted very customer oriented and accepted short-term notice for deliveries. He managed a larger request for a return/exchange of appliances with no hesitation. Thanks, Grant.

the serial number came off my appliance ( electrolux vacuum cleaner) the unit went faulty after 18 months - still in warrantee and i have the extended warrantee - 5 years in total - they have my invoices, but they will not honor the warrantee because the sticker that has the serial number has come off - they have lost a good client .
