Extremely disappointing after-sales service from both Tafelberg and KIC. A product still under warranty was rejected based on a technicality, with no effort to fairly assess the situation or support the customer. Instead, the response was procedural and dismissive — effectively shifting all responsibility back to me. There was no attempt at goodwill, no partial support, and no real resolution — just a closed case and an offer to pay for repairs on a product that should have been covered. This experience raises serious concerns about how these companies honour their warranties in practice versus what is advertised. I would not rely on their warranty support going forward.
I was convinced to sign up to a National contract on the basis of getting a Bag . On signing up i was told the bag would be ready a month later at Kyalami gym. When i went through they had no idea what i was talking about and refused with the bag . Call center wont help . Kyalami virgin active wont help . So clients are lured by non existent bags .
My account was put in Semi Dormant State although i am being charged monthly . I then went to OR Tambo airport Absa to remove the block with all my docs . The lady processed and advised i have to come back in 2 days for the block to be lifted . I have now gone back and have been told i can only come when another agent is present . This is a proper joke. Why this cant be done in one visit is perplexing . Then the extra hoops and hurdles are unnecesary .
We engaged with Nedbank in November 2020 to apply for a Lifestyle Home Loan . Because of the size of the property the online process referred us to a Branch which was mall of Africa (Shaun Mashaba) Shaun listened to our story and requested multiple documents which we submitted and met the affordability criteria on the 5.5 million value of the property . After a month long off documents and emails he then said he couldn’t /wouldn’t proceed with the application as we needed 50% deposit . Email conversation to that effect attached . We then decided to look for the 50% deposit which we have now raised. I then approached Shaun yesterday and he is now coming up with other excuses and is unwilling to submit our application to the relevant department . All we want is to be treated fairly and justly . May our application be taken with the seriousness it deserves and may the goal posts not keep changing .If we were WHITE am sure we would be taken seriously but because we are black we don’t get afforded that same courtesy. My partner went in for an operation . And then had the most shocking service afterwards. The nurses wouldn't give her medication . She passed out in the corridor .When i went to complain they wouldn't give us the time off day . Nurse Nokwanda and Molehoheng Mongalane and the nurse on Duty had the most appalling response when i raised the issue. There is no difference to going to a government hospital . She was in so much pain and throwing up and was told she had being discharged. And should go and get her own medication at the chemist.

I bought a key for Microsoft office and the key was already used . So instead of fixing my issue they tell me to Open a case with microsoft for a key they sold faulty. Someone clearly doesnt think clearly on their side . So now its my homework to chase up microsoft .Nxa So basically they have sold me a faulty key and want me to find out why its faulty.
I applied for a Home loan . 1st thing we sent through was the Offer to purchase . Which detailed the property size and fixtures in detail. Then they requested a multitude of documents. Which we diligently filled . We had issues with the 1st consultant initially and the issue was escalated . So property got to point off sending a valuator . After valuation we received a decline letter .Stating the reason for decline as "In our view, the property is not suitable for lending purposes. ". So am not really sure what that means . I feel as a client i need a detailed answer as to why my application was declined . So that i walk away with a clear and concise answer. I have my business account and standard bank and feel this was a lazy answer to be honest . So not sure if such response are to get rid of you . Or they just dont do home loans anymore .
Am very disappointed in Absa. I used to have all my banking at Absa but the lack of service made me leave to FNB and now I have just left one small transaction account. I barely use the account .But when i do i have issues galore . In April 2020 my account was blocked .Unblocking it was like pulling teeth . I started the process at ABSA Boulders and hit a brick wall.Eventually managed to unblock at ABSA Mall of africa. My current issue. Today the 9th November 2020 i needed to use Western Union services on ABSA platform. When i opened my app on my iphone i then realised i had restored my phone via itunes last month . So the app needed to be set up from scratch. I tried using the only card i have and know without success.And eventually went to Mall of Africa When i got there i was directed to Lihle Mbongeni service consultant. She then said i had blocked my card in May 2020 . Which i didn't remember as we were in lockdown . So she then suggested i use mobile verification and not App verification . She said setting it up would take 30mins tops and would phone once done. She then proceeded to cut my banking card she claimed to be blocked. So i was now cardless.She then said i had to pay 150rands for a card .But i still didn't understand why she cut the card i came in with .So I left for home . I realised i still couldn't do the western union transaction as online banking was searching for my phone verification which i didn't have since i didn't have a working card .I never received the call so i then drove back to Mall of Africa Absa. i got back there at 3:40pm but the doors were already closed although they were clients inside .The guard managed to call the teller in question. She came and wouldn't let me in so she talked to me via a 3cm crack in the door . I must have stood there at that door for upto an hour . She took my ID and disappeared with it and came back and then said the phone verification was now active . I then asked her to sort out my card issue as i never requested for my card to be stopped which is where it went downhill and she got extremely upset and rude . She then called Thabo Mmoko the manager who was of no help at all. I kept trying to tell them I never stopped any card or gone to pick up a card in eastgate ever . But it was like trying to talk to a brick wall. I then phoned the fraud department (Mduduzi nyawose).He literally told me to go to another absa to get this resolved. So i told him i don't understand why i now have to waste my time and fuel doing Absa's job. How can there be a card on my Profile i don't know about and both walk in and telephone banking couldn't give a hoot. So in a nutshell. I want my card back and i am not willing to pay 150 rands for it as I didn't cut it up but ABSA staff. I also want to know who signed for my card at ABSA EASTGATE . I want to see the signature and video footage. Regards Andrew
Help desk service is shocking . Am on Private wealth but doesn't feel like that at all. The calls are never answered or just dropped. Calls are logged and never attended too . I followed up a case with private wealth and the agent Lindokuhle couldn't be bothered. Been phoning and emailing home loan and private wealth departments for 2 weeks straight and i still cant get any help.
