TAXIS ARE THE WORST KIND OF DANGER ON OUR ROADS
SOOOOO gatvol of the Taxi Industry in this Country. Really. So so so so fed-up. They behave as if they own the roads and have absolutely NO regard for any traffic / road laws whatsoever. Every day on the road I am dodging serious accidents because of Taxis. OMG I can't deal with this anymore. They are a menace on the roads. And not only do they put the lives of other drivers at risk, they are putting their passengers' lives at risk as well!!!! People are so dependent on their service, yet they behave like *****s! No respect for anyone. The day that Taxis are banned from the roads would be one of the very best days in SA history. Honestly. Taxis are a danger to all drivers and passengers and someone needs to put a stop to this. Urgently.

Good morning, Sir or Madam I hope this email finds you well I would like to report harassment and unprofessionalism done by your Boitekong taxi association patrollers. Their job is not related taxi association but personal gain instead, not even you as professional Bamta association. As a motorized I was driving with my two neighbourhood from Rustenburg to Sandfontein and two people on the street were hiking. They forced my two neighbours and two people were hiking to come out of my car. I was blocked at Kanana clinic. That I do understand perhaps, what I don't understand why do they force me to drive off to Rustenburg taxi rank alone and requested me to give them money. They requested me to give them R5000.00 and threatened me that they will hit me. They took advantage of me because of Iam young. They took my Samsung galaxy A25 with IMEI number 350616255858101 and say to me I Have to release it with R1500.00 by end of this month. I was kept at Rustenburg taxi rank from around 17h00 until late night around 20h00. My car tracker and my smartphone finder can prove that too. As we speak my phone is with them in their mini quantum registration number HTB 337 NW at Rustenburg taxi rank. They left it there with it for the night. Irresponsible Long Distance Drivers
The Tembisa Polokwane long distance taxi association should consider looking into security checks for the taxis traveling long distances, I mean how does a long distance driver not have a spare wheel knowing very well that they are going to embark on a journey of over 300ks??? We had to sit on the side on the N1 for over 2 hours and the driver had no plan of action as to how we will get out of that situation and some people in that taxi had small children and there where also elderly people and this was very inconsiderate and it was a great inconvenience to us as passengers. May the long distance taxi association please look into this matter because when we hike for lifts the very same irresponsible long distance drivers abuse the private car drivers but yet the service we get from them is really bad because it's like they don't even care as long as they get the money.

Taxi wars are perpetuated by greedy people
This morning occupants of two taxis were subjected to a violent fight -- all because one driver picked up a passenger from the "wrong place". They were terrified that the altercation would result in a gun battle... and some were late for work because of the delay. All over a R15 ride. WHEN will this industry stop ridiculous controls and allow drivers to provide their customers with an efficient service.? WHEN will they allow competition so that their customers are able to choose who they will ride with? Protectionism has to stop.
