⚠️ WARNING: DO NOT BUY TICKETS – **** ⚠️ I purchased tickets for what was advertised as Dinosaur World / Dinosaur World Festival / Dinosaur Festival Cape Town / Dinosaur World Festival Stellenbosch (the name keeps changing). The event was cancelled. Refunds were promised. Months later, there is still no refund. I have been messaging them for weeks on end. Someone occasionally responds with vague messages like “we’ll escalate this” or “your refund is coming” — but nothing ever happens. It has now been 6–7 months, and I have not received a cent. After doing more research, it’s clear that hundreds of people are in the exact same situation. Same story every time: tickets bought, event cancelled, promises made, money never returned. These organisers operate under multiple names and pages, which makes it very difficult to track them down or hold anyone accountable. Based on my experience and what many others are reporting, this appears to be a widespread ****. Do not waste your time. Do not waste your money. I strongly advise anyone considering this event to stay far away.

If I could give 0 starts, I would. This place is a complete ****, they have no morals, no principles. This expo was supposed to be for kids, instead they resort to *****ing your money. NEVER, EVER will I subject my kids to such a pathetic organisation. *****ing my hard-earned cash like its nothing. Really poor

Absolutely shocking experience. The so-called Stellenbosch Dino World Festival was cancelled, and despite promising refunds to those who requested them, I am still waiting for my money. Completely unacceptable. I have emailed repeatedly. Not a single reply. Talia (talia@dinoworldmzansi.com ) does not respond. The alternate address, info@dinobeerfestival.com , is equally silent. At this point, based on my experience, this feels like dealing with a bunch of ****mers. I paid R300, they promised a refund, and they have not delivered anything. Avoid this organisation entirely - if they even exist, which I doubt. Communication is nonexistent, promises are ignored, and customers are left out of pocket. I am demanding my refund without further delay.

The drink and food was very expensive in welkom and they only played black music they should have said its for blacks only. 3 juices with bottles was 360r. Very poor and tickets was expensive but not worth it. Very disappointed.

Dino World Mzansi: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It's a ****. The photos on their website and Facebook page are from other events, not their own. The dinosaur walks are very short, and the animatronic dinosaurs are in terrible shape and not working properly. Everything there comes at an extra cost, even taking photos of kids inside the plastic dinosaur eggs. The address on their Facebook page is different from the address on their website, and both are incorrect; it took us 40 minutes to find the venue. They don't respond to questions on their Facebook page (there is no "contact us" option on their website), and they delete negative reviews negative comments. Stay. Away. The best part of the 2 hours we spent there was the reptile show.

Dino World Secunda Dino World in Secunda was all that and was not all that. My daughter is a big fan of Dinosaurs, so Dino World was a no brainer, looking at it from a child's perspective it was an opportunity of a life time. She enjoyed herself thoroughly and was able to enjoy seeing her favourite dinosaurs on a life like scale. However, from a parents' perspective a lot more could have been done for the experience to be worth while. There was no place to sit, enjoy and take in surroundings - we were in the sun from 11am - 3pm, this is a lot on tiny humans and they also NEED shade! A area for just food and seating would be sufficient. More stalls to enjoy the 'market' area while waiting in between shows or just extending the family outing. The reptile exhibition was very educational and my daughter learned a lot - she was repeating what she learned to everyone HOWEVER there were no seat to sit on and the audience had to sit on the ground, the snake handler did his best to keep order but it could have worked more in his favour if there were seats and a barricaded section. The whole area could have been more dino themed, with little ornaments or grass or dinos placed around the area, even covering the steel bars where dinos stood out would have made the experience more life like. Lastly, a lot of money for such an experience is not at all worth it, seeing the happiness it brought my daughter was worth it

Listen, I don't normally do this, but thought I'd spare some people the effort of going to this event. I spent close to R1,700 on this whole thing and it was a total waste of time and money! Firstly, they are not transparent about what you're paying for. We bought the Gold Tickets and I specifically sent them an email a week prior to ask what we're allowed to do at the event. The information I received did not align with the rules at the event. We were not allowed to do Section A and B , we had to pick between the two, but the couple that came in after us were allowed to do both even though we all had Gold Tickets. The information on facebook is that a 10 month old doesn't have to pay entrance fee, but my brother had to pay an entrance fee for his 4 month old baby. Really? 4 months old? Baby slept through the entire thing. I think even the staff are confused and don't know what's going on most of the time. The Cherry on top is that you pay R100-R200 for a ride which only lasts for like 5 minutes (that's me trying not to exaggerate, because it felt like only 2 minutes). The food was ridiculously expensive as well. The only nice thing about this whole event was the actual Dino Exhibition, but half of the animatronix weren't even working. So no, 100% would not recommend!
