My daughter wanted to take me out somewhere in a country setting and, I googled and found The Fat Olive. I was so looking forward to a nice fresh environment and good food.
We were met by very pleasant staff, especially the young man with dreadlocks (forget his name). He apologized for everything that went wrong. The outside seating was exactly what the doctor ordered. That was the end of the good experience
From then things went south. For starters we ordered Italian Meat ***** and Chicken Livers. I have never tasted anything worse. The meat***** were dry, bland and burnt. The sauce looked and tasted like pureed tinned tomatoes, nothing more or less. The first time the meat***** met the gravy was in the bowl.
My daughter also complained that the Chicken Livers were undercooked...this after we waited 45 minutes for the order.
Needless to say, we only had water and left, never to return or recommend this place to anyone. As a bonus, I woke up with cramps and a runny tummy and I know exactly where that comes from. I pray my daughter doesn't get salmonella from the half cooked chicken Livers.
