The "new" Garrun Group is a sad shadow of it's former self where service was a priority; since October 2024 we have had 3 claims - 1 was a window for a vehicle lodged in October which took 8 weeks before that was repaired; next was a watch claim lodged in early November 2024 which was only settled the last week of January 2025; the third claim I cancelled as it was a leaking roof on Christmas eve and I was expected to get 3 quotes to submit before an assessor would be appointed and given that the previous claims had taken in excess of 8 weeks to resolve and we are in peak rainy season, I was not prepared to weather 2 months of storms waiting for Garrun to actually get the wheels in motion.
Service, clear communication and professionalism used to be the norm however in the last 24 months they have become slovenly and unaccountable to their clients (with more than 10 years of history with this company, I do believe I can speak from experience), and certainly not worth the broker fees they charge. Then there are their underwriters Renasa who will appoint 2 assessors for each claim and stop just short of a colonoscopy before settling claims.
Don't waste your time working with Garrun, it is just not worth the frustration.
