This place doesn't understand what good customer service is!! I enquired with the Peartree in Craighall on their packages for their conference room and asked them if they were willing to be flexible on their food options. I spoke with a lovely lady her name was Michelle and she was very understanding with what my requirements were and said she would get back to me (5 stars for you Michelle) after receiving an email from them saying they couldn't be flexible I called to ask if I could come and see the venue and told her that I was okay with the inflexible food option and her response was "No I think you should move on" First of all that is just plain RUDE, secondly I had been professional and curtious in all my dealings with everyone prior to this and didn't deserve such treatment. I asked her if I did something inappropriate and she continued to tell me that this is not how the industry works (What does that even mean???) I have worked on superyachts where the service is 6 stars plus and lady your service sucks. I will very happily take my possible repeat business elsewhere. You just lost a lot of money and I hope for your sake you figure out what good service is!!! You honestly dont even deserve the 1 star hello peter forced me to give you (That star is for Michelle....Thank you Michelle)

My business hosted a 2 day workshop at the Peartree Conferencing venue in Craighall Park last week. We were told at 9:30pm the night before the conference to pay in full or take our workshop elsewhere, despite having an agreement to pay 50% upfront (which we did) and 50% afterwards. Management never provided and terms or conditions in writing yet insisted on full payment. We had no choice but to pay and hope for the best.<br> <br> I was told that I was playing games and either I had the money to pay or I didn't. I had no choice but to make the remaining 50% payment the night before. During the 2 day workshop the venue owner did not call once or even pop in at the venue to see that we were happy with the venue and the running of the facilities. I have still not heard from the owner.<br> <br> The lady in charge of hosting us for the two days was an accounts lady and not an events lady. She did her best but hosting is not her field and this was unfair to expect her to do this role as well. The air conditioning never cooled down and no one knew how to work it.<br> <br> We won't be using Peartree Conferencing in Craighall Park Johannesburg again. A simple thank you for the payment would have been nice!!!
