If I could give them zero stars, I would. Do not spend your money on these people. I was signed up to do a course in 2021. It was paid in full, upfront. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to complete the course. At the end of 2021, I queried if I could do the course again. I was told I had to pay a reregistration fee because I had already used some of the course. If I logged into the actual course more than 5 times throughout the year, it would be a miracle. But fine, I paid. Exam time came, the exam clashed with my Unisa exam. I spoke to them, they literally made it the next day. My Unisa exam ended at 4pm and their exam started at 8am on the Saturday. Not giving me enough time to study. I failed the exam. Supp comes, I have to pay. I paid, I wrote the Supp. Most of it was passed. Only 2 sections out of the whole thing were failed, and not even by a wide margin. I ask if I can rewrite just those sections, I get told no. They don’t only do sections. But if that was true how were they able to tell me exactly which sections have been failed? Surely if you can see that I didn’t do something right in those sections you can re-examine those particular sections? Instead they tell me, I have to reregister for an entire semester. This is just a scam, trying to get money out of people. They’re just trying to rob a person. Almost R40k later and I have nothing to show for it? It’s ridiculous. Don’t waste your money or your time.

It was a pleasure to do the 6 month course presented by The Tax Faculty on International Taxation. Although the information to get through could be never ending as this world changes and develops so fast it was structured in a manner that flowed very nicely and notes were very thorough! It has helped me to gain a better understanding and has given me a perfect base to work from. I would recommend The Tax Faculty if you are looking at doing a course.

I found their online learning platform non-user friendly. The site is cluttered and doesn't flow. There's too many assessments and their marking is unnecessarily punitive - I did a research assignment and was penalised for not using free sources (SARS) as opposed to paid (LexisNexis) even though the information was correct. The incorrect assignment was also loaded on my page and was told I completed the wrong one. Conflicting messages on deadlines. I wouldn't register a course with them again. Expensive and unnecessarily complicated.

I was doing Accounting for Tax in Financial Statement, completed in June and I have been waiting for my Certificate, When I sent an email they respond saying that they have send it, for which I cant find it on my emails ,therefore I am not happy about the way you've handled my query.

Thank you for everything, all of the assistance provided during the last 5/6 months. I really enjoyed the course. It was well structured, especially for someone working fulltime and the content is practical and useful. I registered for the Tax Dispute and Opinion Writing course. Roelannie was my Administrator.

My story start off looking for an institution that would provide/offer an online tax course for beginners in the industry or a refresher course, as I have other qualifications in finance. That’s when I found the Tax faculty through SAIT website, I felt a bit confident with that link, as I needed to register with SARS afterwards. The bottom line, is I asked all the relevant questions relating to fees and how this course will assist me in finally registering with SARS. Answers I got where very welcoming stating it’s a good course (PCIT) to take would and I would be able to register as a practitioner and you can take it while employed etc., only to find out that I have to complete at least one other course to register with SARS. I’ve accepted that condition, it was time now to go through the course content which seemed accommodative at first. During this, content was then piled up on students who complained and eventually deregistered. This was sad to see, but I tried to push on despite what was happening around the course. Exam time comes and we are/I’m not informed about the outcome or consequences of the exam results and a clear breakdown of how semester marks work and their contribution so as I can evaluate how much I need. Last week I was asked to pay my monthly outstanding fee and this week I’m told I’ve been removed from the course due it having prerequisite of the first semester’s completion. When I asked for assistance, I receive very short cut answers not guiding me but directing me on what is going to happen. I would like to emphasis three things wrong in this story, administrators should be fourth coming and knowledgeable about their course so as to provide proper advice to potential students. Due to this being an online course, communication with consultants or support is limited to technological means. Communication or information is very important, if it’s not said by a Tax faculty representative it should at least be uploaded somewhere (giving directions on access) for people to find. Enough time needs to be given to students (employed/unemployed) to digest their information, instead of pilling content up. If you are employed and want to study through this institution, think of these things. Is important, relevant information being provided to you within your needs, is the content breakdown clear to you to assess if it will be able to be completed in time. Resolving of issues, level of treatment and communication provided to you regarding fees (what they need) and course issues (what you need). Truth has to be said, the course content quality is very informative, professional and enjoyable at times.

The course was very well structured and meaningful It certainly added value and the platform used was easy to use and put together really well. It was demanding as there were steps that needed to be done by certain dates but it really worked well. Course content was excellent and certainly added value Queries were handled quickly and efficiently
