I cannot believe that it takes nearly 2 weeks to repair a chest freezer. Timberstar was appointed by Defy to repair my freezer as it is still under warranty. They have the worst customer services and lack communication skills. I’m terribly disappointed that I have to wait so long just for them to receive a compressor unit and they seem to not give a damn. They do not return calls and the staff there behave as if they’re doing you a favour.

Timberstar trading in Springfield Park is an agent to Defy appliances. I want to say that they are incapable of carrying out proper service to Defy Customers. After repairs to my Defy fridge which they apparently made my fridge was not cooling properly, eventually it stopped all together. As an employee of Defy I contacted our own service department on the 23 rd of August who responded the next day. What they found was that the compressor had been over filled which can lead to a number of problems but in my case just not cooling at all on both fridge and freezer. After approximately 24 hours of not cooling you can know for yourself that all the products in my freezer were spoiled (the technician who came out, Emmanuel bares witness to that). When I phone this timberstar trading and spoke to a certain Hennie, he was rude and unapologetic. All I can say to the company I work for, Defy, is please do your homework properly before allowing untrained agents to do services and repairs on your equipment. If there are any other customers who have had this experience please contact me on 0713500898 because I plan to escalate this matter further, holding Timberstar trading responsible for my loses.
