This is extremely distressing!! I have been sending emails since last year in August to set up an appointment to get graded but have had no response. NOW THEY WANT TO CANCEL our membership, when in fact we have been begging to get graded and are happy to be graded at any time. NB when I call your landline 0118953000 I get a voice message detailing your office hours and prompting me to call back during office hours, it is 11:05 which is most definitely within office hours!! There is absolutely NO WAY to contact these people!!!

We had the unfortunate experience of being bullied, discriminated and confronted by racist treatment from “Management “ of Ingwe Manor Guesthouse & Spa in Margate KZN south coast which is meant to be a 4 start accommodation according to the Tourism Grading Council. We had to leave and find alternative accommodation after just one night of torture. I will NEVER set food back there and the world should know and be warned before they fall into the same trap as us… The food was also substandard and when we enquired, the Catering staff told us that the “manager” said to “serve them whatever is available, they’re not even real guests”. This was shocking and very disappointing as we had paid in FULL 3 months prior arrival and thus forfeited our money

I've had a few problems with star graded accommodation and the feedback if any are just shocking. By sending an email Karabo who is at the top of the grading council did not help as jy he just pass it on to Jody who does nothing. I emailed Mr Karabo on the 14 Feb regarding star graded accommodation that are not up to standerd and got a email back on the 15 Feb telling me that I must give them three days to look into it and report back. Its the 27 Feb today and I've not heard back from them. It's shocking to stay at a 3 and 4 star graded place and find it in a shocking condition.

The Lack of accountability for their mistakes is horrid. TGCSA are not even trying to rectify their mistake despite the fact that I paid in full for my yearly grading which is a hefty fee that does not help very much. I am now being ignored by the assessor as well as TGCSA themselves. Extremely disappointing. Would not recommend!

The Lack of accountability for their mistakes is horrid. TGCSA are not even trying to rectify their mistake despite the fact that I paid in full for my yearly grading which is a hefty fee that does not help very much. I am now being ignored by the assessor as well as TGCSA themselves. Extremely disappointing. Would not recommend!

I paid my money in the beginning of the year before lockdown in good faith while awaiting my grading... Then lockdown occurred.. So eventually the grading assessor came and suddenly after having had 4 star grading since 2009 these characters decided to not give me a grading even thought I requested an extension as they suddenly decided we needed to waste money on two arbitrary items ie glass shower doors and a USB plugs... They then decided I didn't send my request through soon enough so instead of changing to a 3 star they just refused to grade so I'm now not only out of pocket to the tune of R3500 that I my opinion is theft theyi have no grading... Oh and there is no tourism in SA and there are hardly any business travelers so how are we expected to do upgrades WITHOUT INCOME WHICH WE HAVE NOT HAD SINCE LOCKDOWN????? very unimpressed with TGSA and I hope they go under as well

After staying at the Soho sun City hotel someone at the grading board is not doing there job,the hotel in the last 10years has just deteriorated.. From the service ,breakfast,security,maintenance..the list just goes on.. Please send someone to check the hotel

It'ss a well-known fact the the larger majority g/houses resigned TGC in SA the recent past years& I would say since Mr Rothman left(I can also understand why he left) Every week e mails is received to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LIST AGAIN....WHY SHOULD WE BECAUSE TGC MEANS NOTHING! NO SERVICE! BAD ATTITUDE! NO INTEREST! -iT I S ONLY ABOUT MONEY MONEY MONEY AND MEETINGS. Nobodody even SIGN HIS NAME ON CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED-JUST\Kind regards"thats it. Phone them everybody always at \""meeting\""<br> Overseas visitors complain EVERY DAY ABOUT THE SYSTEM -NOT CONSEQUENT-unacceptable standards. THEY PAY A PRETTY PENNY FOR AN ADVERTISED G/HOUSE& END UP IN A SCHAK!! READ THE REPLY FROM TGC AFTER GUESTS COMPLAINED\""you would have to take the complaint up with them\"" THEM..
