We recently purchassed a new Corolla Cross Hybrid from this dealership even though we live in the Western Cape. The purchase was concluded over the phone and vis e mail and we arranged for the new vehicle to be transported to the western Cape where we live. We paid the full amount via bank deposit and have been pleasantly surprised at the high level of service we received from the sales person Paul Edgar and his Sales Manager over the last two weeks. Excellent and will definately encorage others to follow this route where a particular vehicle is only available from this dealership in another province and this avoids driving to that province. Unfortunately we did encounter "less than desireable attitude" from the staff member who needed certain documents completed and signed by my wife. We will not let this take anything away from the excellent service received from the rest of the staff we dealt with.

I took my new Toyota Corolla Quest to them multiple times due to an annoying rattle coming from the roof lining. Each visit was met with incompetence and empty reassurances. Despite their so-called “expert” assessments, they failed to identify the problem and eventually told me that the only solution was to remove the roof lining to assess(not repair)at my own cost. Absolutely unacceptable for a new car that should be covered under warranty! Frustrated, I decided to take my car to Toyota Fourways—and what a difference! They found and fixed the issue under warranty without any unnecessary drama. It’s shocking that the same brand, operating under the same supposed standards, can deliver such drastically different experiences. Toyota Hyde Park has proven to be unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to go the extra mile for their customers. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from this dealership. Instead, take your business to professionals like those at Toyota Fourways, where real customer service still exists. Big thanks to Pooven and David Botha from Toyota Fourways.

My one year old Toyota Corolla Cross was booked for a service and delivered today to the Service centre. On arrival to collect the vehicle, I was informed that they did not service the vehicle and I should bring it in again in March 2025. I was suspicious when the invoice I received by e mail indicated a 30 000 service. The reason for not servicing the vehicle was the system indicated the 15 000 service was claimed from my service plan at another service centre. The service record of my vehicle now indicates Hyde Park serviced the vehicle. After I made them aware of how they wasted my time today, they offered to quickly service the vehicle now in 45 minutes time. I am now waiting for them to finish the job. This is a matter of grave concern because it indicates how easy it is for another person to do a *****ulent transaction on my service plan.

I recently bought a Toyota Starlet from Hyde Park Toyota. The service was great. Vivian is an amazing sales executive, Fana also gave great service. Chantell Lombard was amazing too, I also appreciate her honesty and the fact she did the right thing and was honest when she assisted me with my contract.

Me and my wife recently bought brand new car from Hyde Park Toyota. Their service is bad. Hendric is such a bad sales person. He will rush you to sign the deal but will avoid your calls after the deal is signed. Hang up on you, while you still asking question. I wouldn't recommend the dealer to anyone looking to have a good experience on purchasing a car! Also not to mention they also tried to rush us to sign a contract with a balloon payment, fortunately we read through the contract.

I've tried to add more vehicles to my top tier plan on multiple occasions now and i just don't see them on my website profile. Please can we liaise via email so i have an email thread to keep you guys honest, a day will come where i have to use this service that i've paid for for many years now and you are going to tell me that car is not on the profile even though i've had numerous calls to add it. I need this addressed ASAP or i will cancel and post these reviews far and wide.

a few rude and unhelpful staff especially dealing with Lucia Motleleng. She was not understanding of the queries I had and her attitude wasn't pleasant at all. wouldn't send my car here for a service again.

I am appalled at the way Toyota Hyde Park has treated me. I gave Hendrik a lead which lead to a sale and he did not want to pay the referral fee. I specifically said to him he can thank me when the deal goes through. The deal went through and he did not even notify me that the deal when through and the car had been collected. He knew my number when he could not get a hold of the potential client, he would text me and I would leave my job to talk to him and find out what was happening. I called him once i had confirmation that the car was collected, i asked him about my referral fee. He told me their dealership does not pay referral fees. I called the dealership and enquired from another sales person who confirmed that they do pay referral fees. He then came up with another excuse saying that I did mention it at the time of the quotation which is a lie. He then apologized and said he would ask his Manager to process the payment, he told me he needed my ID, sars confirmation and bank confirmation. Since the 29th June 2023, I have not received any feedback on the reason for the delay. Today a consultant called me to say Hendrik says they needed my documents for an ongoing investigation not that they were processing the payment. I hope my documents are not being used *****ulently as those documents were requested under false pretenses. I never thought Toyota would be so ********* and I wonder if I'm being treated this way because of of my ethnic group. Apparently Hendrik also said the buyer doesn't know me, which is a lie. They buyer and i both live in the North West, he is a relative of mine. I drive, the very same car that was purchased although mine is a GR. After this treatment from Hendrik, I feel like I would rather go back to VW, they are an honest brand. Its not about the R1000, its about principle, moral and accountability for me which i feel Toyota Hyde Park lacks such. The manager said to me on the phone that I should not threaten him with saying I will contact Toyota SA. It says alot about him.
