I have purchased a Tusk Explorer Canopy from this company sales Mr Dyllan Grobler, for my GWM P500, I went to fit the canopy in Port Elizabeth,Tuesday 9/09/2025, 5 days later I washed my bakkie just to realize a brand new canopy is leaking water, has a dent on front right hand corner where water is ponding and surface rust on the back of stainless canopy , did inform Mr Dyllan Grobler of the issue, all evidence was sent to Dyllan and his partner Chris Jansen Van Rensburg and told him, I will take the canopy back to Port Elizabeth to return for full refund, the trip is 200km at my own cost, I went on Monday 15/09/2025 to return as I was told they only do Payments on Wednesdays, wasting my time and money, returned on Wednesday 17/09/2025 to Port Elizabeth and sent pictures of removan of Canopy and have not recieved payment as of yet after agreement was made, avoiding me, so now I have started a case on Friday 19/09/2025 as my attorney sent them communication,to demand refund at end of business day Friday 19/09/2025 and as usual they did not respond and will continue with case if refund is not done by closing time today Monday, 22/092025, today is the 06/10/2025 and my money is still not paid back, please people these canopies is not on standard, leaking, rusting in a short period of time and good luck getting back your hard workieng money, as I am not the only one complaining I have communicated with other unhappy customers as well if you have ordered 1 please cancel, STAY AWAY to save yourelf from any disappointment and lost of finances.

i dont know if they and Treehaus are still working together. but Francois and Chris does not give proper feedback. Francois needs to pay me back my money and he just does not answer or reply. i gave them already one chance and canopy still leaked after that

Asked for quote for a canopy, got a price in 20 min. Back and forth feedback was quick and effortless. Installation was less than 40 min and setup was clean. Thanks to Brandon and the team.

This has been a real experience I must say. I order my canopy through a sales agent, Treehaus. In there advert it says, you'll have your canopy in 6 weeks. That never happened and as soon as I started asking questions, nobody answered me. I had communication lines between Tusk and Treehaus and the communication from both was up to S...! The boss of Tusk phoned me, explained the delay. Shortage of steel due to strike and a new sms system to help with communication that's not lekker. He did how ever said, the wait will be worth while. I have my canopy for a week now and since they fitted it I really put it to the test. After fitment I went to work, site based. On site it was lekker dusty and it was windy. Treehaus did say to me that the canopies is dust and water tight. The pass weekend I washed my bakkie and to my amazement when I opened the canopy, not a single spec of dust or a drop of water inside the load bin. It was truly dust and water tight. The day of fitment, I have spoken to Chris about the whole manufacturing process. Everything doesn't happen at Tusk. There is a couple of phases the canopies go through until it's back at Tusk. Bending, colour matching doesn't happen at Tusk. If any potential buyers is reading this review, please ensure you allow enough time for completion so that you also don't get frustrated like many others. The rating a 3 stars on top is and overall rating, I'll expIain: I rate the canopy 5 stars. It fits like a glove, the colour matching is out of this world. The lack of or poor communication I rate 2 stars. Between Tusk and Treehaus, extremely bad. 5 - 2 = 3 I've read all the reviews on this page and I must say, some is good and some is bad and mostly due to lack of or no communication. So, just a piece of advise. Sharpen up the communication, you'll see a improvement.

I have been trying now for more than a month to get someone from this company to respond to me. I called initially and was told that they are at a trade show and could not help me, I should log my fault on their website under the Warranty tab. This was done near the end of May, well today is almost the end of June and not a single call, email response nothing. I have tried a number of times to call and eventually got hold of someone called Chris who may as well have not responded because he doesn't really care about my problem. I have been told in various whatsapp messages that the parts to replace the broken parts have been sent or will be sent, but nothing has materialized. So what is my problem with the Tusk Explorer canopy? Well mine is now around 33 months old, the thing is supposed to be made of stainless steel but is rusting like a tin can and the hinge system they use, which is a flexible rubber moulding has rotted away and the back door of my canopy has fallen off. So imagine my surprise when I was stopped by someone to tell me my canopy door is falling off. The fun part is that I can now no longer use the canopy as nothing is secure. Want to buy a canopy, please do not buy this junk.......
