Two Mountains
Based on recent customer reviews, Two Mountains receives overwhelmingly negative feedback centered on payment allocation failures, policies lapsing without proper notification, unauthorized debit orders, and severely delayed or unpaid claims. Customers repeatedly report that premiums are collected but not correctly applied, leading to unjust policy lapses and new waiting periods. Refund requests and cancellations are routinely ignored for months. Multiple reviewers describe being signed up without consent through street agents. While a small number of customers praise the claims team and compassionate funeral service, systemic administrative and communication breakdowns dominate the experience.

My mother has been with Two Mountain Funeral Services for over 12 years. She was on Plan F with a R30,000 benefit, plus an extended member benefit of R15,000, paying R150 per month. On 29 December 2025, I went to pay the policy and was assisted by Mercy. She told me the payout is now only R11,500 and she couldn’t even see the extended member details on the system. No one can explain why the benefit dropped, yet the premium has increased to about R172. Mercy said she would query management and call me back. Weeks later, no feedback, no documents, no resolution. Another consultant said it “could be a system error”, but that’s not acceptable when people’s money is involved. I was also told to take a new policy if we want a higher payout — which is ridiculous because we already have a policy. Warning to the public: Please check your Two Mountain policy benefits and request updated documents. Based on what we are experiencing, this company is starting to look like a **** and people must be very careful — your benefits can change without notice, and you may only find out when it’s too late.

Good day Two Mountains, You promised to share the outcome of your investigation yesterday and today is the 20th still no email recieved. I believe the outcome is that you did not do a mistake on my policy to be elapsed cause sure what matters to you is for people to just make payment and keep them waiting another 6 months. What you doing is a day light *******. You can elapse my policy before my due day and claim that it wasn't a mistake and I have to get a new policy number and wait against for another 6 months. You do not care about your costumers, you are just ******s. Glenda 0810078380

Good day Two Mountains Is been 6 days now complained about my Policy number TU206443 that was elapsed due to your mistakes of mixing my payment dates and nothing happened as yet, instead I just received an sms that my policy number has been changed because I now have to wait for 6 months before I can claim. I don't understand why are you too quick to do what benefits you instead of what benefits your customers. My complain was simply. " My policy was elapsed yet my payment date was not due" what's so difficult to resolve this matter? Glenda, 0810078380

I am writing to raise a serious complaint regarding unauthorised debits from my account after the cancellation of my policy. On 28 October 2025, I cancelled my Two Mountains policy, Policy Number: TU165574, and received written confirmation that the policy was cancelled effective from that date. The letter clearly stated that all premiums, benefits, and features related to this policy would cease immediately. Despite this confirmation, Two Mountains has continued to *****ulently debit my account since November 2025. Each time I contact your agents, I am told the matter will be escalated to the finance department, yet no action is taken, and the deductions persist. This conduct is unacceptable and amounts to unauthorised and *****ulent activity. I demand the following actions without delay: (1) Immediate cessation of all further debits from my account. (2) Written confirmation that this issue has been resolved. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will escalate it to the relevant regulatory authorities and consider legal action.
