Umalusi issued my certificate quickly, but now ignores all communication about an error I recently app**** to **Umalusi** for a reprint of my Grade 12 / Matric certificate. I want to start by acknowledging that the initial service was actually very good. The certificate was processed and delivered to me much faster than expected. However, when I received the certificate, I noticed that **one of my subjects is missing**. Since then, the experience has been the complete opposite of the original service. I have tried repeatedly to contact Umalusi to resolve this issue. I have been transferred to what I was told is the relevant department or department head, but every single time I am directed to voicemail. I have left multiple voicemail messages explaining the problem and requesting assistance, yet **no one has returned my calls or contacted me back**. This situation is becoming a serious problem for me. My matric certificate is required for **further studies**, and having an incomplete certificate puts me at a disadvantage when submitting documentation. To be clear: * The original reprint service was efficient. * The problem is the **complete lack of response once an issue needs to be corrected**. For an organisation responsible for issuing and verifying national education qualifications, it is extremely frustrating to be unable to get assistance when there is a clear administrative issue. All I need is for someone from Umalusi to **contact me and assist in correcting the missing subject on my certificate**. At this point I would simply appreciate a response and guidance on how this can be corrected as soon as possible.

My son attended a private online school and wrote the NSC exam in November 2025. Umalusi adjusted their SBA marks so badly that students who normally get 60 to 70% in their subjects failed with as much as 24%. They claim to adjust it for fairness and use the averages of all learners to the detriment of our children's futures. They must be audited.

Good day I trust my email finds you all well I just wanted to ask I lost my payment slip , I want to make replacement matric certificate, I have already paid the R170 , so if I go to your Cape Town Head offices will they help me with the completion of my application., in other words will thy process my application without having the payment slip.

hello Peter, has been months now i app**** for my son replacement of matric certificate, due to circumstance now am trying to call them they don't answer my call and has been 5 months waiting for matric certification my son can't apply for in school, cause the need verification of matric certificate, please help. From the 20 February 2025 waiting for printing certificate i paid everything.

hello Peter, has been months now i app**** for my son replacement of matric certificate, due to circumstance now am trying to call them they don't answer my call and has been 5 months waiting for matric certification my son can't apply for in school, cause the need verification of matric certificate, please help. From the 20 February 2025 waiting for printing certificate i paid everything.

I honestly think they are running a ****. I think the positive reviews on here are ****. I also can not get through telephonically. I was "1st in line for over 35 min". How does that work? Then the phone just cut off.....with no answer. If you are lucky enough to reside in the Western Cape, give the education department a call. They did assist me. I have also not received any email response from Umalusi. From reviews its sounds nice to work there, apparently staff get free food and tea daily. As it doesnt look like they work much. I am not done after this hellopeter review.

Very impressed with their quick service. I app**** for a copy of my matric certificate through the Dept of Education in 2021, paid the fee etc. To this date i have not received any feedback from them, and the query does not move further than 'accepted'. I decided to take a chance with Umalusi, and within 2 weeks received my certificate. Thank you for a job well done!
