I canceled my booking on the 09th of July 2025 which was a free cancelation. From then till now I am still awaiting my refund which never came. It's now past 14 days for a refund to be returned. I messaged the property and emailed them but I never get a response!

I wouldn't recommend to anyone, the host doesn't treat guests with dignity respect. Very rude host who demanded R2000 deposit before handing the keys. When I canceled the booking, the host took +24 hours to pay back the deposit.

If i could give a 0 i would! Booked at Urban Park Hotel this past weekend. The room's bathroom was not even cleaned, toilet was left unflushed with toilet paper and urine in it. Got moved to another room and the bed had woman's hair on it and a blood stain on the pillow. Staff walking around and assisting guests without masks on, no covid screen protectors at reception. And now getting told that i need to wait a month (During Christmas) for a refund. Disappointment is an understatement and even more concerned for health reasons.

If i could give a 0 i would! Booked at Urban Park Hotel this past weekend. The room's bathroom was not even cleaned, toilet was left unflushed with toilet paper and urine in it. I recently booked accommodation at Urban Park Apartments & Hotel Umhlanga for a one night stay from 14 to 15 March 2020 in room 218. It was a wonderful stay. However, upon unpacking when I got on Sunday, I immediately realized I had forgotten some of me personal belongings in the room. I immediately called the Hotel and spoke to Scelo who informed me that housekeeping was closed for the day and adviced I call the following morning. Monday morning I call and was transferred to housekeeping, where I spoke to a lady by the name if Promise. At that time Promise confirmed nothing has been bought forward but took my details and promised to call me back after checking in the room. 20 minutes later, Promise called and confirmed that nothing was found. At checkout, we closed the door which self locks and dropped off the entrance card at reception. Thus I am certain no one entered the room after us except for the housekeeping stuff. I am extremely disappointed, as something of similar nature has happened in the past at a different hotel. My belongs were returned to me after safe guarding them for a week. Why are things different at Urban Park Hotel? Basically Urban Park is insinuating that I am lying, I did not leave my things in their room hence they did not find anything. I am very worried about Urban Park Hotel stuff, the individual who first entered the room in particular. They clearly found my stuff but wouldn't disclose. The ethics are minimal if any. When I asked who I should forward my complaint to I was told to lodge it with the booking agent I used. Does this mean Urban Park Hotel does not have a platform to lodge complaint or compliments for that matter? This had nothing to do with my booking agent. I am extremely disappointed by this service and shall not be recommended this Hotel to anyone.

Urban park hotel & Spa Umhlanga, poor customer service from manager Avir. Cant even face the client.Air cons don't work, Phones don't work definitely won't recommend this treatment for anyone. Get told at reception that's there's nothing they can do,then give me a room that doesn't lock. this is false advertising as it's known to be a 3 star place more like bull****.this hotel got me and my partner looking like a mess and late for the event that I am attending in Durban,I wonder if someone actually cares about the poor reputation this hotel now holds.their webpage doesn't even work for me to send them a complaint.
