The WORST and SLOWEST exchange ever. I’ve had over 10 deposits delayed for hours some for 24hrs in a space of less than a month. They ignore emails and keep giving generic answers “your deposit will be allocated shortly” and then take another 6 hours to process the deposit after that and ignore all your emails. I’ve sent over 20 emails today alone and they have been ignoring me and when they see I keep pestering they tell me “your deposit will be allocated shortly”. Honestly im leaving this exchange it has caused me more stress than good and honestly the worst exchange I ever trade on! Save yourself the headache. By the way I will need my deposit it’s been well over 8 hours now and still my deposit is no where to be found!

My name is Velmans Seluma. I had an account with VALR where I bought some coins in December last year. At that time, the value of my coins was around R20,000. At some point, I tried to log into my account, but the website was not working properly. The following day, I discovered that my account had been compromised and my funds were gone. I still do not understand how the money was ******. I tried to contact VALR, but it was very difficult to get hold of them. After several hours, I received a private number call from someone who said they were from VALR. They informed me that they would investigate the matter. I kept following up on the case, but I did not receive further calls or updates. Later, they told me that I had used the wrong website, which is why I was ****med. Unfortunately, I did not receive any real assistance from them to track who ****med me. They only kept advising me to change my password. I got a new phone and tried to login with the wrong email. Instead of prompting me that another email is registered on my name and ID it let me open a second wallet and then blocked both after I submitted my I'd. Now for more than 48 hours I have not received any response from the customer service after submitting 5 tickets for help. First there is the AI help that directs you in circles and then when you finally get to submit a ticket or email message no one answers. Appalling customer service.The only telephone number registered for Valr also just goes to voicemail stating that a message has been sent to the operator.

I have had VALR for years, my iPhone updated, lost a lot of apps, got them back and had to go into my VALR app, then my info at VALR was gone and my funds too. They treated me like a new client.

The last action I took was linking my Gmail account to Valr, which they authorized. A few seconds later, my account was disabled, and I could not access my funds. Valr takes 24 hours to respond to each inquiry I have sent while trying to resolve this issue. Their compliance team has asked for a list of documents, which I have provided, although some of their requests made no sense. For example, they requested proof of payment along with a statement showing where the funds came from. Despite the confusion, I submitted all the required documents. It has now been four days, and my account is still disabled. I can’t access my funds, and the support team is unresponsive. This is incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate. I urgently need to access my funds, but they are not attending to my issue.

In the beginning VALR was easy and desired. If overseas on holiday it becomes a mission to do transactions. However, I do understand that integrity is the key. But recent times my account has been suspended for a review wanting to know where my monies were going to etc. which I find offensive and against the POPI act, why must I share what I do with my purchases. The review is random but happens to often. The replies are autogenerated and do not get the root of the problem.
