I have been insured with VCIB for 14 years this year. I am extremely disappointed as I have recently been served with a 31 days notice/ correction action letter after submitting a few claims. This letter stipulated amounts i supposedly claimed for which was inflated drastically which in turn pushed my monthly premium up to a point which i could no longer keep up with.. This is dishonest in so many eays and talks to the integrity of the company. Life happens and did not ask for any of it.. I have been a loyal customer for many years and not once has my broker even tried to make contact with me to talk about this. I have also been referring people to VCIB as i have been hapoy with them, however i will Never Vouch for this company again.

Poor experience with VCIB. House broken into, multiple items ****** and doors broken. VCIB offered to replace brass door handles with a cheap aluminum one. Needless to say the rest of the door handles in my house didnt match which they refused to address. Phone insured for an amount but pay out was market related. Take your premiums but low ball payment. Took a year to finalise after going to the ombudsman. Dont use VCIB.....pay premiums and get low offers and no replacement of items on a like for like basis.

Terrible service. I have been waiting for a claim to be processed since 05 October 2024. The first assessor no longer works for the company and now the second assessor is on leave until 24 January 2025.

I was involved in an accident with one of their client last year, their client was intoxicated and lie to them about the date of the accident. They went ahead and paid the claim out to their client without understanding what really happened, their client was speeding on that day and intoxicated. I plan on reporting this and taking legal action, until today their client has not paid for my vehicle damage

A fire broke out in our kitchen at Taste of India Bryanston at about 11 a.m. on July 8, 2022. We informed our insurance broker, Ms. Juanita Myburgh of VCiB insurance, who provided us a claim form and asked us to send the incident images, which we did and emailed back immediately. After a week following the occurrence, Mr. Johan Ras of PIP consulting was appointed as an assessor. It took them more than three weeks to figure out what happened. The only response we have received from Ms. Juanita Myburgh, Mr. Johan Ras, and Mr. Ian Gule (Claims Consultant at VCiB) after following up with them every other day is that they are still busy with the process and that we should be patient regarding the report. It has now been 5 weeks and their response hasn't changed. It's been 5 weeks and they still haven't fixed our restaurant or told us of the next steps. When we questioned them about their inability to get the firm up and running, they just stated that we had not selected a clause for 'Business Disruption.' Even if we did not choose that specific clause, the claim process was not expected to be delayed and handled inefficiently. We strongly advise against hiring these agents because they are inept in their respective fields. The business has been closed for more than a month, yet we still need to pay our employees' salaries, rent, and other fixed operational expenditures. If they were so unsure about the claim and the process, they should have told us sooner so we could have rectified it at our own expense and they could have paid us. At the very least, we would have been operational. Receiving such crucial assistance from an insurance provider is quite unpleasant for a business. Our company is stranded, our employees are suffering, and we have lost all our customers due to VCiB's inability to process a minor fire claim. We're not sure which insurance is better, but it's certainly not this one.

The most incompetent unprofessional company - the ones who don't know what needs to be done and how in the event of a claim!!. The timelines for a claim process and communication as well as the overall handling is terrible. We are Awaiting a claim settlement since last 5 weeks with business being down. Wasting energy and time here in writing the review; going ahead with the right approach to take them legally with the entire claim process and the ongoing delay with their sloppy process.
