They take advantage of their clients Running up costs and then charging you storage and holding you hostage to pay or they will not release your vehicle They serviced my Vespa and the day after I collected it the engine blew, they begged me to return it to them and not inform Vespa as they would love their license and that they would fix it at their cost. After starting the work I was informed that the cost is now on me and then they kept on loading expenses They have had my Vespa for going on to 11 months

When my sibling wanted to explore Cape Town after an awful separation, he only wanted to do so on a Vespa. We contacted the owner of Vestoration, on recommendation of a friend who's gotten his own Vespa serviced there for years, and were totally taken by surprise when we received a Vespa PX200 (1985) Acrabalino to use for the next two days, for free! What an incredible gesture, and way to end his trip down South! Thanks Vestoration.

Don’t contemplate using them to sell your bike or s******. Handed over bike without paying me and changing name. Over 2 years later I only received 2/3 of money for my bike and nearly R7k in fines! Owner promises to sort out but never does and takes advantage of easy targets. If you a woman expect to be defrauded out of your bike and money owed. Long story without a happy ending.

Vestoration review should be a simple one liner. NEVER use Vestoration for any Vespa repairs. My Vespa had been standing for a while. I contacted Tim(owner) for a service quote and noted the battery being likely shot, and fuel leaking out my exhaust. Long story short. I spend R2890 excl courier on the service. Vespa delivered back to me with no electronics working. Msg Tim, 'must be a fuse'...nice. I replace the fuse. It starts once, 2nd time again no electrics. Replace fuse. Still nothing. Contact Tim and remark that I see he put the wrong battery in if this could cause any issues. Tim's response...'It's actually better battery' ...the battery that is not manufacturers spec and half the size of the correct one. Anyway. So Tim tells me that if the battery moves around (because it is the wrong size) the contacts might touch metal and blow the fuse. The battery was mounted with cardboard box pieces around it to keep it stable...HFS! Anyhow. So the leaking fuel out the exhaust. It is still leaking. So my conclusion is one of 2 things. The Vespa was never serviced. Or worse. It was actually serviced and this was the quality of work produced. Either way. NEVER use Vestoration to work on your VESPA. NEVER! Following the leaking exhaust he offered to collect and repair my Vespa free of charge...funny guy this Tim.

It's taken me nearly a year to fully process my experience at Vestoration with Tim. In October 2020, my boyfriend needed to service his new Royal Enfield and we had heard that Vestoration specializes in Enfields and Vespas - so while I was there, Tim recommended that I change the tires of my vespa as I still had the original, thinner ones on. I agreed immediately, opting for safety first. When I picked up my vespa a week later, I had an accident 15 minutes after picking up the bike. My back tire burst and I flew off my bike at 60km/h coming over Kloof Nek in busy traffic. After the accident, I received second, third opinions that looked at my bike and all agreed that there was definite negligence in workmanship. The inner tube hadn't been changed (despite having old punctures), there was a mountain of grease on the tube (which I have been told is not good practice) and there was no puncture on the outside tire (indicating that it most likely was a pinched inner tube, which would have occurred during the changing process). Tim seems like a nice guy and I don't believe there is any bad will but poor workmanship, however seemingly minor, can cost you more than just a bike.

I've booked in my Vespa to be assembled and fixed in Aug 2013. To make a very long story short, after a year the bike was still not in working order.

- According to me he is not trustworthy. (After assuring me numerous time that the bike was fixed....a problem always pops up and I had to call him after the delivery date to ask why he did not deliver the bike - does not even have the decency to call you to say he wont deliver...this happend at least 4 or 5 times during the period)
- He will ask you to pay most of the invoice upfront to help him out with his staff and then you sit with the problems.
- You are welcome to contact me - I would gladly share my story, but please be warned, stay away from this man!
