The Wedding Warehouse in Pretoria has a strict policy that their goods be returned in a clean condition, however when we received their table cloths, they were already soiled with oily marks. We had to some how hide them upon use. We made sure we washed them ourselves and returned them in an excellent condition. We requested our refundable deposit in November 2018 and up to today (17 January 2019) we have not received feedback. I emailed them on both email addresses on two occasions and even called. The man said we would be refunded and still nothing. Their service is not up to standard. Very disappointing.

I would like to bring to the attention of all clients what has happened to me when I dared to complain about products, that I rented from THE WEDDING WAREHOUSE, after the function took place. I went to The Wedding Warehouse and was initially very happy with their service as they were very efficient and could source whatever we needed etc. I saw a rustic metal centerpiece there that I liked a lot but they only had one of it. They assured me that that was no problem and that they can have 13 more made before the wedding and I can collect this the Thursday before the wedding. I was of course very happy and also rented several other items from them. I went to collect this the Wednesday before the wedding and when I got there I saw that these centerpieces that was supposed to be rustic did not look very good but with the wedding being that Saturday I thought that I would take them as I had no alternative plan. These centerpieces were made with black flat bar and they were put outside and sprayed with water to rust. Now according to my knowledge there is paint or spray available to get the rustic effect on metal. When I got to the venue the people even asked me am I still going to spray this or am I going to use these centerpieces as is because it will stain their linen. I went to Chamberlain and bought rustic spray to just try and get these things in a better condition. They definitely did not look like the one that they had in stock - the rustic look that is. The spray cost me an additional R 1 200 but it definitely helped. Also when we packed the on a flat surface some of them wanted to fall over as the feet was not bent properly - this was a rushed job and given to me in bad condition but I had to make a plan as this was my only choice and time did not allow me to take it back. We tied the centerpieces with florist's wire to the wooden slice that it stood on to prevent this from falling over onto the guests. This took hours to do. The Monday was a public holiday and I had to take the stuff back to them on the Tuesday. I delivered this to their employees and also mentioned to them what problems we experienced but everything was paid in advance so all that I could do was to complain. I had the owner's number on my phone and this has been bugging all day because they were so ignorant about the problem. That Tuesday night I had a sick dog and was lying awake at around 2 am. I then thought to myself let me send her a what's app regarding this problem and that I do not think that it is fair practice to rent things to clients that is not on the same standard as the product that I have seen before the time. I thought she could then just read it the following morning. I actually said to her that I think she must review the supplier they used to do the work for them as it was poorly done. At around 4 am I received a what's app back but I only saw this the next morning. This stipulated that she sees this in a very serious light and that her lawyer would contact me that morning and that I had such a cheek to complain about this after I have used their products. I replied and said to her that if this is the way the respond to clients having a fair complaint it explains everything and that they could keep the money I paid. At around just after 8 am I received a call from her husband who apparently is a lawyer and acts on the company's behalf. His first words to me were that he is going to sue me for harassment and that he will get an interdict against me so that I could not harass his wife any further. I was absolutely speechless. I asked him if he knows what harassment means as I sent her one what's app. He just continued to tell me about all the charges they would lay against me and I literally could net get a chance to speak. My first words to him were "Only God knows where you come from with all these charges" and then he threatened to lay another charge for using foul language as he is a very professional person. I disagreed that using that sentence was foul language but was already quite angry with him at the time. He said that I could chose if I wanted to walk the easy path and drop everything just there or if I wanted to continue with this. I was quite irritated with his attitude by then as I thought that if that is not intimidation in the worst degree then I don't know. I said to him to please do me a favor and delete my number from his phone as I never want to hear from them again. He said that he would gladly do that and that I must just know that I should not bad mouth their company anywhere as he would then come after me. The bottom line of this story is - can a client not complain about bad service? Is this how a person should get treated and be intimidated when you dare to complain about their service? I have a strong personality and are not easily intimidated but what about customers that are not like that!!!!! My only mistake was to send that one what's app at 2 am. BEWARE

The decor that was provided for our wedding reception was beautiful but the flowers were below standard and not even what we ordered! The chapel decor was poor. My overall experience with The Wedding Party was not a good one. During the planning of our wedding everything seemed to be going well and my wedding coordinator who also happens to be the owner (Louis) said all the right things and I even arranged a meeting just before the function to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted. A week before the wedding, I was told that they can't provide the chairs I had paid for cos the previous client had not returned them, they tried to get them back this was not a huge issue as I just used the venue's chairs. I had to fight with them for 4 months just to get my refund for the chairs! There were just excuses and empty promises. Our flowers were the main issue-although we realise that they use whatever is in season they were completely different to the ones we ordered and some were not fresh. This includes the centerpieces for the tables and even the bouquets. The bouquets were not the right colour and I did not even use mine for the photos as it was really not nice! The decor in the chapel was the worst-an after thought. I asked for green leaves (eucalyptus) to be scattered on either side of the aisle and they were barely visible, my husband had to ask for more and because they weren't prepared had to use left over leaves from the roses. There were supposed to be lanterns which were not there. And the flowers from the main table that was placed inside the church were really not much to look at. My wedding coordinator was not even present on my wedding day to make sure that everything was set up correctly and as discussed and my husband had to show the lady how to do her job eventhough this was discussed in great detail beforehand. When I asked Louis about it after the wedding he said he is sorry he was "sick". Same excuse I got while waiting for my refund for 4 months after the wedding. As nice as the staff may seem at The Wedding Party, they are filled with empty promises and you will only be disappointed.

In my opinion........ stay far away from The Wedding Warehouse in Colbyn, Pretoria. More caution be careful when u deal with Louis Nel. At first everything went well, he was all nice at first up and until the weekend of the wedding. All moneys were paid before arrival. The decor arrived at the wedding venue: Mount Sheba on Friday 23 March 2018 at 22h30 in the evening, the decor was offloaded from the truck and with the help of our family members and wedding staff (to help them). We then realised that there were some items missing from their list. Only to find out that they have been working on an old inventory list. We had to pay extra money for the extras on the list, but this was not included in the truck. They brought rectangular tablecloths instead of round table cloths. They then left and said they will return on Saturday morning 07h00 24 March 2018 (wedding day). At 07h00 there was no Wedding Warehouse staff until 11h00. We as family had to jump in and start to get this wedding organised. We hired cream draping from them only to see that it was yellow. Which we could simply not use (R10 000 down the drain). There was no staff to do the draping as we were told that the person normally handling the draping was at another function. When I phoned Louis about this, he yelled at me, swore at me, he was extremely rude. The friendly staff of Mount Sheba assisted us with as much assistance as we needed. This is our personal experience with The Wedding Warehouse or The Wedding Party. Which ever one they want to use. Louis is not helpful at all when you confront him with shortcomings, I was cursed at, I was made out to be a fraud, I was embarrassed at the wedding venue as he harassed the staff. I have decided to go to hellopeter.com for the simple reason of trying to avoid other bridal families falling into the same trap. It was a wedding weekend from hell and all due The Wedding Warehouse/The Wedding Party.

Goods were not delivered as per arrangement - late. Return agreed for the Tuesday 12:00. Got a call Monday before 8:00 demanding that we return the good immediately. Went there and suggest better communication. Women we don't know stormed out and was particularly rude and personal. Service assistant was openly embarrassed and tried to apologize. Very upsetting experience.

<p>I subleted premises inside The Wedding Warehouse in Centurion at the Eco Boulevard shopping centre from Louis and Rienette Hamman Nel, paid a deposit and One months rental. After been in the shop for ONE week, I had a call from Louis Nel to say their land lord had thrown them out into the street including my things. Unknown to me they had a 2 year Rental litigation dispute with their land lord. M& T developments, Since then I have asked for my Deposit back and money owing to me. They have promised to pay me back , however I have not received my deposit back from them and money owing to me. I would be very careful doing business with this company. </p>
