My nephew and I took in our Axis A60 MTB's in for their first service after buying the bikes. They were very eager to take the bikes in and the process went smoothly. We were told they would call once the bikes are ready. We opened two separate job cards. They called my nephew but did not call me and could not give him a price. I phoned in a few days later to ask and was told the bikes were ready. I had to query the cost of the service which they were uncertain on the price. We went to collect the bikes the next day. When they brought the bikes down, my bike had deep scratches on the Lock-on grip rings, the brake fluid reservoirs and the brake handles. The lock-out switch cable housing was severely damaged, looked as if it had been cut or something. The handlebar cap on the one side was also damaged. The salesman also damaged my hard earned JUMA bell from the first JUMA 54km as he brought the bike down. This happened right in front of me. When we told them the bike had been damaged, the became very aggressive, claiming the damage was from a fall. The owner accused me of lying and would not even look at a photograph of the bike before the service which showed no damages. I waited for an hour, eventually, after a very frustrating wait, they replaced the rings on the lock-on grips, gave me a new bell, though refused to sort out anything further. I am also not happy with the service as the front brake disc is now touching the brake pad which it never did before. I am closely in tune with the condition of my bike is I regularly clean my bike by hand and inspecting every component. I have also not had a fall so bad, that such damage would have occured. I am a fairly accomplished rider having been in cycling since 2007 both on road bikes and mtbs. Terrible service and even worse when it comes to resolving problems. Will not be going back to that store for new bikes, spares, servicing or apparel.

After servicing two bikes at Westdene Cycles they were sold without informing me when the bikes were not picked up within 3 months after they were taken in by me. Terrible, terrible service. Apparently this is policy but it is also their policy to let the owner of the bike know that it is ready for collection, this never happened and I have to listen to excuses about high staff turnover which resulted in the person who was supposed to phone me not working for them anymore.

Anyone who wants to buy or service a bike at this place, please think again and consider another shop.

I am not going to leave it there and they haven't heard the last from me.

Bought a momsen al429 from Westdene cycles 17 Jan 2015.
Did a couple rides and my chain got stuck in my rear derailer pulling it into my back wheel. Broke the dropout, derailer and damaged the rear wheel. First didnt know what happend till i inspected the derailer and saw that the chain was installed wrong rubbing agaist the derailer sharpening the edge till it got hooked by the chain. Took it in to westdene they didnt want to listen as i wanted to explain what caused the probblem. Spoke to david the rep from momsen he says its out of his hands they dont supply the bikes build so its westdene's problem. Westdene says they get the bikes from momsen they only fit the handlebar and wheels. After a long fight they now say they sent the derailer to shimano and the wheel to momsen for repairs and that momsen reps came to see the bike. I phoned David he said they never showed him the bike. I also sent david pictures of a vipa on the showroom build the same. I dont think its fair that i now sit without a bike and not getting a answer from westdene or momsen
I shopped around for a bicycle and settled on Westdene Cycles. The advice given was good, and after the bicycle was bought minor problems were repaired quickly. Am happy with the quality of service I received.
