I bought a new motorbike from wrench ******s. Despite the few negative comments on this site i gave it a try. I just came in to enquire and was helped by Freddy. 30 minutes later the purchase was done. Upon fetching the bike after the on road service, I met the owner Grant who shared many tips and tricks regarding this bike. I bought cars in past from dealerships where you deal with slimy pushy sales actors who do their best to get every cent out of your wallet to meet their sales target. My experience with wrench ******s was the opposite, great professional service.

This whole experience was really disheartening and they essentially deprived me of enjoying my new bike. It went to them for some minor electrical things and it turned into a costly, time consuming fiasco. Quoted me for imported electrical parts, waited for 5 months longer than they said it would take for the parts to arrive (supposed to be 4 weeks). I hadn't even ridden the new bike. They ignore messages asking about your bike. After six months they then got aggressive when I did not collect after a few days of being notified it was ready - even though they told me they had a potential buyer for my bike, and I'd told them I only needed a few more days as I was waiting for a payment to come in. Then I received aggressive whatsapp messages ("when will we receive payment?" - no hello, please or thank you), followed by an aggressive, threatening phone call ******ing money from me. Saying if I did collect they would charge me R1200 per day to keep the bike there and they would sell it to cover cost. Then shouting at me down the phone, defamatory comments, saying I should get my "mommy to pay for it", and then they hung up on me. Abusive to customers they've actually been messing around for half a year. The bike then did not start after being with them for so long but it was going well before they got it. They told me it may have been the spark plug (a common part from Midas that shouldn't take more than a few hours to source), so they kept the bike, but days later I'm chasing them for it and they're giving me vague, "the mechanic hasn't released the bike, we'llle t you know when they do" replies. I really got nervous about them having my bike at this point and then got it towed from them again to a real mechanic. The real mechanic fixed the bike in a few days, told me most of the things they had charged me for weren't done and the parts we'd waited for so long for from Japan were actually pirated parts. Not only did they not do what they were supposed to, they had my bike for six months, used **** parts, were abusive to me on the phone, and charged me R4000 for messing up my bike, worse than it was before it went to them. Also the cost of two tows to get it to a real mechanic. They also hadn't done a bunch of minor cosmetic things I asked them to do, which they **** about doing. I suspect there are a lot more bad experiences going unreported.

Beware Con artists and absolute ripoff R25000.00 and 9 months later finally, after excuse after excuse got my motorcycle back broken, worse than ever, invented broken parts and excessive labour, wrong gear selector, minus a whole washer in the gearbox (confirmed by a real mechanic), **** about parts replaced and charged for (piston and rings), again confirmed by real mechanic, the list goes on and on Stay well away from these ****** I will be reporting them to all the business organisations and have filled complaints with the police and authorities If you have had a similar experience with them (I’m sure there are many) please report them

I Had a few issues with a s****** I just recently bought (privately) for my son and took it to Wrench Monkey Cape Town for some help. I was treated with great respect by all of the staff, and was assisted by one of the team who was extremely helpful. Thank you guys for all of your help, very much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to take any of my bikes back for repair.

Stay far away. Spent around R12000 with them to get my bike up and running. After 3 months of chasing them to work on it, it came back and still starts more rarely than when I gave it to them, *****s missing, the seat not attached properly, carbs leaking, the list can go on. Just amateur work all around, although I'm an amateur and could've done a better job. After voicing my dissatisfaction and indicating that a negative review was coming their way if they did not refund me some of my money, the owner phoned me, screamed in my ear and threatened legal action against me. I currently have an actual mechanic looking at it and he discovered metal shavings in the oil after Wrench Monkey allegedly changed it. How that goes unnoticed by them is quite baffling. Every competent mechanic or biker I have spoken to has only bad things to say about Wrench Monkey, I just wish I had a warning before burning my money.

Con artists I was recently employed by wrench monkey. According to my contract I get paid R200 per hour on work carried out. I was in charge of fabrication and paint work. I have excelled in these areas for over 10 years. Grant, the owner of the workshop gave clear instructions on what he wants on every built. I did exactly that, but when the job was done Grant stated that he doesn’t like the look and would like to change it. After fabricating his design he refused to pay me on the hours worked even though I did exactly what he asked for. I took photos as I went along for proof. On Tuesday 25 may 2021, I was booked off sick. I went to the workshop and without any transportation they sent me home in my condition to walk. I had to beg them to give me a lift. I have now seekedhelped from the ccma to which my case is very strong. If there is any other people that got conned by these people please get in contact with me so that we can stand together and get these monkeys out of Muizenberg.

Highly unprofessional! Gave them my s****** and asked for them to check everything as my wife drives it to work and back asked them to please take good care of the bike, get told to come fetch the bike as it is “ready” I arrive on site and pay my invoice to be told oh sorry the exhaust is damaged and will cost an extra R1500 with fittment to repair (1st issue they should have given me the option to repair before collecting)!!! I then take the bike because we need it to get mrs to work, the mrs drives the bike a total of 5 days and the s****** sump plug had come loose (obviously not tightened properly) they oblige and come fetch the bike leaving us without a bike for another day, he brings the bike back the following afternoon and we drive the bike another week and the bike breaks down again, I take it back to them (bare in mind I am self employed and every hour counts for nothing) I drive it all the way from kommetjie to lakeside and drop it off and say to them one last time they must fix it properly! We agree on a price of R1500 for the new exhaust and includes fitment, they tell me the following day (today) that it is ready for collection and send an invoice of R2545, a whole R1045 more than what we agreed on???? Then they want to argue that their service has been impeccable??? Your service for your mistakes has been great but a good service provider will not have to service their mistakes!!!! Highly unsatisfied and highly don’t recommend this business!!

What a ripoff . Bikers be aware of rip off workshops. Took My CBR1000rr in for service to Wrench monkeys in Celie industrial park for a service, just to end up paying double the bill I was quoted. My bad for not taking a quote in writing. Non of the items I requested to be done, has been done until I payed the extra charges that was initially part of the verbal /telephonic quote. Go to the agents!!!
