On the 29th of January 2025 around 16:30 my mother and l went to xtra clothing and shoes in Boksburg to purchase work jeans and as I was shopping around through the aisle I saw a black Reebok vest priced R125,99 from R799,99 and took two medium and small because I was not sure which one was going to fit me, and one of the floor associates from the next aisle requested to see the one of the vests that I was holding then laughed to my face saying that I won’t buy the vest for that price on the marked down tag(label). She then left the path and upon appearance she returned with a white lady who is her assistant manager or manager I assumed. The lady was exceptionally discourteous and didn’t even have the decency to introduce herself prior to getting the vest and grabbing the discount tag of the vest without even explaining or acknowledging that there has been a mistake on the price shown on the label. I then asked why did she remove the label and she said because that is not the price I should pay and didn’t even bother explaining or acknowledging that there’s an issue and that the price displayed is incorrect, and that I will have to use the other label that is left on the vest which was the original price. I told her that by law of the consumer protection act, I will have to pay the price that was on the vest as that is the price displayed and that’s what I should pay as a customer. I was shocked and disappointed when they saw her squashing the label and put it in her back pocket, showing no respect and unprofessionalism through her actions . I quote according to the cpt” consumers have the right to demand paying the lower price for goods displaying two varying prices suppliers are not permitted to charge consumers the higher price for the same goods.” The white lady even had the guts to tell me that even if I wanted to buy the item at that price, no one at the tills will help me with my purchase. I went to the office next to the entrance door hoping to get a person that understands customer service or in charge of the store so that I can explain what just happened, but things got worse when I was told that all the price tags on the vest are a mistake and as given an ultimatum by Morne of getting 30% discount or leave the store, but that also was not good enough for me and proved to me that there’s absolutely no customer service and staff members are not well trained. They clearly have no idea or lack knowledge of the consumer protection act. It would be much appreciated if the management team would view the camera footage to see for themselves what I had went through as a customer.

xtra clothing and shoes in Vereeniging. On the 30th November we visited this store to buy shoes for my husband, there was a young lady who assisted us (unable to get her name), but on the way out I asked if the store had men's denims, in a certain size, and she was very helpful, on the way to the rail I caught my arm on one of the hangers or railings , quite a deep cut, she was very concerned and wanted to call her supervisior. I would jud=st like to say THANK YOU for your concern.

On the 30th November we visited this store to buy shoes for my husband, there was a young lady who assisted us (unable to get her name), but on the way out I asked if the store had men's denims, in a certain size, and she was very helpful, on the way to the rail I caught my arm on one of the hangers or railings , quite a deep cut, she was very concerned and wanted to call her supervisior. If possible I would give Xtra Clothing and Shoes in Vereeniging a 0 star rating. Went to the store on 19 Aug 2021 for some shopping. As soon as we entered the store we were greeted by a friendly employee and asked if they had toilets that we could use, the lady said there are toilets and pointed us in the direction. Before entering the toilets we realized it was for woman so we looked across for the men's toilet. A woman standing there stopped us and asked what we were doing and I responded saying that I want to use the bathroom and she responded by saying no, and adding something along the lines of it being her "Castle", so I asked her why are the employees in the front of house telling me I can use the toilet and why is she refusing me access. Her response was that "Your toilets are at home" and she looked away from me. I was absolutely flabbergasted that an employee of any store would talk to a customer in that sense. It is unacceptable!! I turned around laughed and walked away, as we were walking away, she shouted for us to stop and said that she was just joking and she pointed to the men's toilet. I responded by telling her that her service was absolutely horrible! It felt like we were being chased away or not wanted there.

First off, because this shop does not even deserve a star. I went in there, took an item from a R49 section and then when i got to the till, the lady called a floor assistant and told her to go "Find out what the price on my jean is". She did not even give an explanation and when the floor assistant came back, they decided it was now worth R105.(Does the CPA not protect us from that, i wonder) My cashier was also very rude and they are also very selective to skin colour. Anyway, im not going back there

I Bought a pair of shoes on Sunday afternoon 28 July 2019. And discovered Sunday evening one had a Scuff mark on the front and took it for an exchange today 31 July 2019. The Manager said she cannot exchange it as she needs to send it to the supplier because maybe they will be able to help as the store cannot take it back and lose money. The slip clearly states that one can do exchanges but not returns/refunds. I said I will not leave the store until the shoes are exchanged and she laughed at my face and said she will see what she can do and went to the back of the store. On returning I was told the same story that they can't help me and they can send it to their supplier. I informed her I cannot wait soo long because the shoes are needed for Friday yet she could not help as she does not know how long the supplier will take. I asked her to check the Camera footage to make sure the lady at the till who sold it to us checked the shoes, she checked and returned to say the shoes were checked but refused to show me the footage because it's against company policy. I then left the store unhappy yet returned because I did not get the Manager's name. I asked a lady at the Tills to write her name and surname on a piece of paper and when she saw that she stormed back grabbed the piece of paper out of the lady's hand and said to her don't give him my name and walked away. The lady said her name is Candice and she's the Manager that's All she could give me. The Manager Candice said she does not know if we damaged the shoe or their supplier but I will have to wait until she has communicated this to her supplier because she definitely cannot exchange it due to them not willing to take the loss for it. The service of this establishment is extremely bad and they do not want to take Responsibility for selling you bad Quality products. I will never ever go back to this store ever Again.
