<p><br />Just want to express my disappointment after visiting your restaurant for the fathers day buffet special. I firstly got in touch with the restaurant on Sunday morning inquiring about the groupon deal . The lady informed that groupons don't work on weekend, but informed me about the lamb braai for fathers day special that comes with a bottle of wine. This all sounded so exciting and we decided to go for supper. We were greeted by a waiter who told us about a buffet special and that was confirmed by another lady waitress. We served the first round with almost empty plates knowing we can dish as much as we want as per the waitress on other rounds. To our surprise we had to wait for the guy responsible for the buffet who was serving the food for us (in all buffets i have had i have never had a person serving me and having to answer how much I want all the time). We went for the second round and the third round my partner went and he was told that its apparently not buffet anymore. The manager on duty told us its not a buffet while he waiter was still saying its a buffet. She said we can get another round but the waiter will have to pay another R99 or we pay it ourselves, we then ended up saying we rather not have that round.</p> <p>Like that was not enough as per the attached add on facebook a glass of wine and dessert were included and the waiter told us about the free glass of wine included in the price, we asked for the bill, super dissapointed but when we got the bill we were charged extra for the glasses of wine and we had to fight for that to be taken out of the bill.</p> <p>Never have been this dissapointed in any restaurant we have visited, Worst fathers day ever because of this restaurant.</p>

So we received a groupon voucher from a friend because she didn't have time to use it . I usually don't buy groupon vouchers because of the service we get when they see the voucher . We went to Zanzibar restaurant at the Westwood mall . We asked our friend if we need to pre book and she said no she never ever booked with her other vouchers. So we went to Westwood as we entered the restaurant the person standing at the entrance said something about the voucher to the waiters , before she even greeted us she said did u make a reservation and who's name is it under. So my fiancé said to her we didn't know that we had to make a reservation and we apologize but can't you guys a comparator us because you guys are not busy . She immediately wanted to call the manager. She knew that the manager would turn us away . We called later that evening to complain to the manager and the manager said that she had redeemed the voucher yet she had not even seen us. She was the most rude and ill mannered person I've ever spoken to . We asked for her name and last name . She then asked if we want her identify number as well. I will never recommend this place to anyone . We dine out a lot and we don't ever have problems anywhere . Really disappointed .

I am very disappointed with the way i was treated when i called Zanzibar to make a reservation on Valentines Day.i spoke to a lady who confirmed my reservation and thereafter cancelled it without informing me. Thankfully i called in prior to inform them that i was running late and i was then informed that my booking was cancelled.the manager said that he had a busy day. How's that for customer service!
