We rented a minibus on 18/09/2019 at Cape Town Airport. On return I found that the quoted tariff was much lower than they deducted from my credit card. I have been sending countless e-mails over the past few months, and although they agree that there is a problem, never solved it or refunded me. Please avoid because the quotation they send you is not what you really have to pay at the des****. Hereunder my story. I booked a car through AirportRental: 10 days car rental with ACE company at Cancun airport with the maximum additionl insurance, the so called Protection Plus. Total 260USD+120USD=380USD. When I got to ACE desk @Cancun airport I was told that, by law, they could not give me the car without one of these two additional insurance: - Basic insurance: 220USD (189USD + VAT) - LDW2: 324USD (279USD + VAT). I decided for this, the equivalent of the Protection Plus I have already payed to Airport Rental. Moreover I had to pay additional 60USD for an Airport fee! Obviously none of these expenses were in the quotation I had received and booked from AirportRental!!! After approx 20 emails and 2 months with customer service AirportRental gave me back 120USD of protection plus and 60USD of airport fee. So at the end of the day I spent (approximately) 380+324+60-120-60=584USD instead of 380USD! I don't think this is correct.

This business is scam and do not refund you all your money. I had to cancel the service before renting a car and they would not return all my funds back to me. This is a total SHAM, not listed in South Africa and operate under their own rules. DO NOT USE THEM go direct to car hire company rather

Guys stay the hell away from these people. Their affiliate rental company are just as terrible. Shocking customer service and gross unreliability. Thanks to AVIS making me a priority and having good systems in place. No car to rent, no refund.

<p>I used this third party to hire a car from WOODFORD car rentals Cape town. The booking was done 1 month in advance. When we arrived at the airporton the 28/12/2016 WOODFORD told us that they did not have any cars, this was a terrible start to our holiday. I had to run around for hours trying to find a car from another rental company.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am now trying to get my money refunded and between WOODFORD and AIRPORT RENTALS nno one is willign to assist.</p> <p> </p> <p>This was the worst experience i have ever had with any company and i will never use either of them ever again.</p>

<p>I hired a car online from South Africa at airport rentals.com in Dubai reference number IM ********** 9. I paid a deposit and took out a super waiver insurance with them. When I got to Dubai on the 30th of December at terminal 3 no one from company was waiting at arrivals as promise. I called them numerous times and email them on the 30th to notify them that I was waiting at the airport for the past two hours with my family but did not get my response and no one from their offices could assist me. Very upset and dissapointed in the service they provided me. Up until now I have got no response what so ever from them. Don't get scammed into paying deposits to this company. Very upset</p>

<p>We booked a rental car for our trip to Cape Town this December, only to arrive at the Woodford car rental to find that they had 'run out of cars' in other words had more bookings than what they did cars. Since we booked through airport rentals we were told that we need to request a refund from them , when phoning airport rentals they will only refund me the money I paid for insurance however they won't refund me the deposit that I paid which is R300. I did not receive the car therefor I want ALL my money back. These people take your cash without delivering a rental , totally unprofessional and completely unethical. Wont be booking through airport rentals ever again. </p> <p> </p>

I intended to hire a car for a said period and found one on [URL Removed] - however in error i had booked the wrong car, and within an hour i emailed to request to change the vehicle. They replied that they cannot get the vehicle altered, i however called the car hire company and got the vehicle requested. What is the purpose of a car hire agency if they cannot be an \agent"and handle requests and changes? The client has to liase with the car hire company and if you cancel you dont get R1500 returned- even if they dont do their job. People should not use this company especially South Africans- it is a scam to take a \""non-refundable deposit\"". I think if its within a few hours and the agent cannot deliver as in my case it should be retuned"""
