Amazon delayed an order for my client by several weeks, each time giving a new ETA and failing to meet it—every single time. I was left passing along empty promises to my client, damaging my reputation in the process. After repeated delays, I contacted Amazon and asked whether I could purchase the item locally instead to save the deal. They agreed and even sent me an email confirming I would be refunded. I have it in writing. They also confirmed this via their online chat. But when the promised "5–7 business days" passed—no refund. I followed up and was handed from one agent to the next. Many of them left the chat mid-conversation. Eventually, they denied the refund, tried to delete the chat records, and even terminated the support session. They made written promises, failed to honor them, and left me footing double the bill. This is not just poor service—it’s deception. It cost me a client. It cost me money. And it was done with zero accountability, dignity, or professionalism. Amazon is not too big to be held accountable. Eventually, ********* business catches up to you—no matter how big you are, even if you're Jeff Bezos. It seems like Amazon is making a habit of pushing around the little guy. So now if you order a book from Amazon in the USA they very quickly convert your Rand's to Dollars charge a ridiculous fee for transport immediately deduct the total from your bank account. Only to find 2 weeks later that they have NO record of any orders being placed for the entire year. NO trace of my book but the moneys gone. Pathetic business model and a **** nonetheless

So I had to cancel and ask for a refund from Amazon Australia as I called the customer service and they were unacceptable and could not help me with a order that had not arrived. It’s strange as other items were delivered to the address and for some reasons the one item could not be delivered.
