Amobia Communications
Based on recent customer reviews, Amobia Communications receives a polarised response from its customer base. Customers consistently praise individual support agents by name, highlighting professionalism, patience, after hours dedication, and genuine problem solving during installations and connectivity issues. A recurring positive theme is long term loyalty and follow up communication. However, a significant counter narrative emerges around unresolved fibre faults, slow escalations, weekend support gaps, perceived overpricing, and rigid billing practices. Several customers describe feeling dismissed when issues persist, particularly those running businesses or working from home.

Contacted Amobia about an internet issue at my business. They took long to respond. Eventually came. Then I waited 45 days for a quote. Now internet has been off for a week. And I'm trying to run a business.

I was paying R769 per month for a 10Mbps connection with Amobia, which is already indefensible pricing. Despite this, Amobia increased the price after refusing a second grace period, even though the delayed payment was caused by an extended power outage outside of my control. When I escalated the matter to a senior manager, I was met with zero empathy, zero compassion, and a punitive attitude. Customers are penalised rather than supported. I am now switching to 60Mbps fibre for R685 per month, which clearly highlights how outdated and customer-unfriendly Amobia’s service and pricing are.

I've been with Amobia for over 10 years now and they've never disappointed. They are on the ball and they always follow up. Looking forward to a long relationship in internet connectivity.
