Scam!
On 20 August 2019 we booked accomodation from a hotel called Balmoral in Durban through an agency called "Amoma.com", we used this agency before in May of 2019 booking with a different hotel. we paid a sum of 5616 for 6 nights. We had booked to stay over from the 17 December to 23 December 2019. Upon arriving to our set accomodation, to our surprize we were told that the Balmoral hotel did not receive any reservation of booking because they did not do business with the agency "Amoma" anymore. when we asked why we were told that this agency "Amoma had stopped trading" therefore any booking done through this agency would be cancelled, however in order to receive a refund we would have to contact the reserve hotels for further information. We were then sent from pillar to post by the Reserve hotels, their response was that they knew nothing about a booking by the reference number we provided and that we should enquire from the "reserved" hotel and not the Reserve hotels. The so-called "Reserved" hotel denied any responsibility for this reservation. Till today we have not received a refund.

Scam!

I received an email from Amoma stating that they have ceased trading. They cancelled my booking 'without informing me' which I had made on 30 May, payment has already been made. I don't know who the liquidators are, so I can claim back my money. Their website doesn't work anymore and neither is contact number. I have used their services a couple of times before and had no issues.

Amoma cease trading
I have booked a hotel accommodation using Trivago which they in returned used Amoma.com. I have paid the full amount. I have confirmed with the hotel and the bookings were all in order. However, on the 13 Sep 2019, I received an email from Amoma stating that they are undergoing cease trading. See https://www.amoma.com/. That means I have lost all my money. Warning all those customers who are using Trivago and Amoma for bookings.

Amoma cease trading

Last minute booking on Amoma
Honestly don't know why all the bad reviews. I used amoma to make a last minute booking. Saw deal online, paid, and checked into the hotel the very next day. It was simple and went so smoothly. They have a chat on their website that I also used to confirm my booking. They are so helpful and replied within minutes. Great experience. Would definitely use again

Pathetic Customer Service! Stay away!
Whatever you do stay away from amoma! They have not honored my confirmed booking and I was stranded at the hotel for hours hoping for them to solve the situation without any avail. Even the hotel was trying to solve the problem from their side with amoma. amoma was blaming a the third party (agent) they have used for the mix up! Hello...I was not dealing with a "third party" when I was making my reservation! I trusted amoma and amoma only when I was doing this booking. At the end I was forced to do my own arrangements to get myself a booking at a nearby hotel. After that it was a real fight to get them to refund my money. Please do yourself a favour and use one of the more well known booking sites and safe yourself a lot of trouble!

Whatever you do stay away from amoma! They have not honored my confirmed booking and I was stranded at the hotel for hours hoping for them to solve the situation without any avail. Amoma, One of the best scam of 21st century, they are well equipped with all the tools to fool and cheat people by doing fraud. Amoma pretends to provide the hotel booking but they only reserve it without sending money to hotel. So, when you reach there, the hotel will say they have not received the money and it is only reservation booking and you will have to pay the entire money again. While Amoma will say that they have suppliers for booking and they will pass the time. It is a wonderfully designed scam to fool people. Be aware of scam going through.I booked holiday accomodation online with Amoma on the 27th September 2018 for reservation at Holiday inn express Umhlanga.Once the payment of R2440 went through I was told the available suite is taken and that canellation will be made and I will get my money same day latest 3 days.I even got email confirmation that the cancellation was made and I will get refunded.A week went by I called the London number and I was told there is nothing they can do I should check with my bank.My bank FNB also says they can't help me I should wait for Amoma or get in contact with them.I think this is a scam as there is no one taking reaponsibility and playing hard to get.Please avoid this route.
