We hired a vehicle from Assa*** Car Hire in November 2022, which broke down the morning after collecting it. They did not have another vehicle to replace it with and promised to refund me the balance of 3 days car hire. To this day, I am still waiting for the refund of my car hire as well as the R3000 Deposit we paid. They don't answer their phones or respond to emails, and even going in to their office to speak to them did not help. The owner is of no help either as he is ALWAYS out of the country. The vehicles are in a disgusting state, and most of the time, aren't even licensed.

We hired a car from Assagay Car Hire in Hillcrest, Durban, on the 27th of December 2022 to the 3rd of Jan 2023. We were supposed to receive our deposit 10-14 working days after returning the car. We have not received our money back. I've tried calling them and sending them messages but I'm being ignored. I've subsequently been blocked on their Facebook page as well. All I want is my money back!

We hired a car from Assagay Car Hire in Hillcrest, Durban, on the 27th of December 2022 to the 3rd of Jan 2023. We were supposed to receive our deposit 10-14 working days after returning the car. We have not received our money back. I've tried calling them and sending them messages but I'm being ignored. I've subsequently been blocked on their Facebook page as well. All I want is my money back!

So we hired a car 12 January 2023 and the car was ok didn’t give us any problems, and we took the car back in time and they were supposed to refund our deposit after 14 days and they’ve been giving us a run around telling my husband that the money will be deposited beginning of the week because they don’t do transfers on Fridays and today it’s Friday and the money hasn’t reflected and they are not taking our calls or replying our WhatsApps and the sad thing is we can’t go to them during the week cz we have work and weekend’s they don’t open so we are stuck, this weekend we needed to hire a car and we couldn’t because we now don’t trust this service from any car hire company.

Im not a person to leave reviews, but i feek the need to share ny experience with ACH. When they say they are fast and efficient, they mean it. I was in a real jam, my car suddenly broke down and i was stranded, having appointments to get to an no car! I called Assagay car hire and a car was delivered to me in 20 mins, they were so flexable, and affordable and i was honestly so impressed Thank you ACH and their awesome staff for assisting me last minute.

Paid a deposit on 15th November of R3000 to hire a car the following day for 24 hours. I paid R591 for the 24 hour hire period. Contract stated that the deposit or pro rata thereof would be refunded after a report from the Department of Transport that I had incurred no speed or parking offences. On the 8th December they received a clear report, no offences. The employee in the office copied me in on an email to the owner of the business requesting he refund me the R3000 deposit. I too, have emailed him, the emails are undelivered "mailbox full'. I have been advised by the employee/manager in the office that the owner is abroad. I wish I could rate no stars. The vehicle we hired was a "dog", full of dings and scratches, smelled of cigarettes. We have hired vehicles in South African, UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Greece and the USA and NEVER had such vehicle in such poor condition.
