I had a wonderful experience dealing with this company. I was recently involved in an accident, and my insurance sent me to Auto Panel Repair Centre… The parts required were collated quickly and I received the most wonderful updates and service from Nishara. The panel work and painting was excellent… would definitely recommend!

My wife's brand new car, purchased at the beginning of October, was scratched on the 26th of that month. It was taken to Auto Panel Repair Centre in the second week of November. They completed the initial repairs within two weeks, but upon returning home, I discovered a new dent. Auto Panel confirmed it wasn't present in their initial photos and arranged for their PDR team to remove it the following week. In December, while washing the car myself (instead of using a car wash as usual), I noticed a blemish in the repaired paintwork and overspray on the roof and windows. Auto Panel confirmed the overspray and blemish and scheduled further work for January 20th, with completion on the 27th. Even then, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the car to be ready. Upon arriving home, with the sun shining on the car, I discovered numerous scratches on all the windows and a bubble in the paint on the hatch, likely caused by paint remover. I immediately contacted Auto Panel and returned the car the next morning – my fourth visit for the same initial scratch repair. I pointed out the bubbling paint and the scratches. Auto Panel staff, including QC (Santos) and Nishara, confirmed they had used a cloth to remove the overspray, denying the use of any blades. They checked their initial photos, which didn't show the scratches or the bubble. Their paint technician, Ridwaan, couldn't determine the cause of the paint bubble, so they decided to respray the hatch. The assessor was called to inspect the car. They pointed out the resprayed area and the scratched windows. The assessor confirmed the window scratches but stated they weren't caused by Auto Panel. Crucially, Auto Panel *didn't* mention the overspray on the roof and windows to the assessor, effectively implying they hadn't worked on the windows at all. This contradicted their earlier admission to me that they had used a cloth to clean the overspray from the windows. When I collected the car, Auto Panel refused to take responsibility for the window scratches. They even denied me ever mentioning the overspray on the windows. Their QC even claimed the car wasn't brand new, despite it being only three months old. Now I'm left with a car with scratched windows, and Auto Panel is denying any responsibility, essentially blaming me for the damage.

I had a great experience with first, the lady called Nishara who was constantly giving me update and taking care of my matter. Secondly, the job was done perfectly fine on my car. My only concern was the delay about the parts. They are too dependent on the insurance company while they can also search themselves and that delays the work. I had to find parts myself. Thanks

Terrible customer service, *********** procurement, *********** customer relations office - that “in a nutshell” tells you to please sort out on your own ****.. Also that they don’t need to constantly repeat themselves when a question is asked and update was already given. The way they go on is that they are paying me to fix my car.

Terrible service received. My car had been standing awaiting to be fixed since December 2023. Till today they have still not started on fixing my car as they keep saying that my car parts are on back log and it is of their control. They don't assist in a courtesy car, nor do they go the extra mile to make sure your car is being handled at the best care. They are so delayed, and filled with so many excuses. I would not recommend anyone to use their services as it is pathetic!!!!!

I'm certain the completed panel beating job will be excellent! However, this complaint is about their dismal customer relations. My vehicle was sent to them in early July 2023. on 18 July I was informed that the tailgate and bumper for my Corolla Cross GR-Sport was on back order with Toyota. I followed up requesting progress on 24 July. On 25 July I was informed that parts were still not available and that they could not provide and ETA. On 1 & 3 August I asked for progress. No response. On 8 August I was informed that the parts had arrived and that work would start later that week. on 11 August I requested a possible completion date. Three days later on 14 August I was informed that additional damage was found behind the bumper. On the 15th I asked what the implications were. I was informed that they had to logg a revised quote with Discovery Insurance. I contacted my insurance and informed APRC on 16 August that additional parts and repairs had been approved and send them the Insurance's confirmation. On 18 and 21 August I requested an update to no avail. on 22/8 I was asked to contact them to discuss the repairs. I also asked for a courtesy vehicle (as I did during July) and repeated this request on 23 August. I was informed that they don't have vehicles available until September. On 28 August I requested an update. I was informed that they were still waiting on the additional part. on 24 August I hired a vehicle and requested an update on a courtesy vehicle. No response. On 3 Sept I received a telephonic update. on 5 September I asked for a date when the vehicle will be ready. On 7 September I received a WhatsApp that my vehicle had been painted and "is expected to be ready for collection on Wednesday 13 September. As I received no information since 7 Sept, I then arranged to return my hired vehicle on the 13 September. when I arrived at APRC it was clear that they were not expecting me. I was then told that they had attempted to contact me. I showed them both my cellphones and that I had no missed call from them. In fact the last calls received from them was 29 August & on 4 September on both phones. Because I stay about 122kms away in Hawston (Herm****) I was told that their driver could not drop me off at home. & that no courtesy vehicle was available. No surprise there: They did not have a courtesy vehicle available since 15 July. If they had phoned or sent a message I would have extended my car hire. This would've been the cheaper & best option for me. I now again had to hire a vehicle until Saturday 16 September at a cost of R1500 plus the R530 I used to fill up the tank when returning the hired vehicle. No support or empathy from APRC. It was my problem. So will I recommend them to family and friends? No! I don't want them to experience what I believe to be poor customer service. I already told a few people that if only they communicated better... But, from what Ive seen I am certain I'll be happy with the repaired vehicle. That said, it is customer care that determines whether a company is recommend/endorsed or not no matter how good the repair job is. And in this regard Auto Panel Repair Centre in Ottery is failing!

After having the front of my car damaged, which looked like a slight damage at first, the engine started to sound like an old tractor. The car was taken to Auto Panel Repair Centre. Not only did they fix up the body work like new, the car came back to me running so quietly and efficiently. I had been having problems with the car hesitating and a constant tack tack noise within a few months of buying. Since the repairs it is running so quietly and steadily.
