Bad service
Very rude and got my order wrong , they say being under pressure they can make mistakes. The manager is Hester is very rude and not helpful at all . Can not be bothered about their customers, will never order any thing from them gain ever bad service

Disappointed and frustrated
Bought a bottle of Hennessy from black horse liquor store in Mthatha and it was ****, smells like brandy and tastes nothing like Hennessy I’m extremely disappointed and I should have known because why is itvR589 ? You are selling **** liquor please be warned

Couple date night
I had a couple retreat and stay in here. We had the best time as the food and drinks were of top quality and the Chef was interactive with us which was a bonus. The cottage we booked as well was perfect and immaculate. Definitely will book my wedding with them.

A must try!
Absolutely loved my time at Black Horse. We made a booking for two at the very last minute on Fathers Day. They were happy to accommodate us though they were already fully booked. The food is made in a very homey style which gives it that extra touch. The scenery is simply breath taking. Lastly the gin tasting experience with Douglas was the best way to end of an already amazing afternoon. Definitely worth the short drive from Johannesburg.
