Absolutely loved my time at Black Horse. We made a booking for two at the very last minute on Fathers Day. They were happy to accommodate us though they were already fully booked. The food is made in a very homey style which gives it that extra touch. The scenery is simply breath taking. Lastly the gin tasting experience with Douglas was the best way to end of an already amazing afternoon. Definitely worth the short drive from Johannesburg.
We had my sisters birthday brunch at Gaucho on Saturday the 18th of February 2023. It was my second time dining at this establishment & I can confirm that it’s definitely worth the hype. The staff are friendly, the manager allowed us to order from the breakfast menu even though it had closed already but we had a few delays with late coming. The mimosas and ****tails/mocktails are absolutely divine. The ambience as a whole is very picturesque. It’s definitely a value for money experience.
I’ve been fortunate enough to dine at this establishment for over 12 years, and I can confidently say it has never ever disappointed. They have kept the service & food to the highest standard, the the deco ever so stylish and elegant. Signature Restaurant in Morningside remains a favorite!!
The Nines Restaurant in Cape Town is truly really worth the hype. Had the honor of dining there with some friends on NYE & it was everything and so so much more. The view of the mountain & ocean, the nude deco, the food, the service, the ambience. Definitely a 10/10 experience for me! A must try when you’re in the Western Cape, this established lived up to its reputation.
I’ve never had a bad experience with FlySafair until last week, 4th January 2022. It turns out that this airline is over booking each flight and then putting people on standby even while there is still more than enough time to board the flight. To be on standby for more than 24 hours because there’s a backlog in standby is the most numbing experience yet. The counter staff are unsympathetic & couldn’t be bothered at our very visible frustration. When the one lady who was also on standby tried to change her ticket from economy to Buisness, the consultant at the ticket counter straight up told her that it wouldn’t be possible as they’ve overbooked all flights. This is appalling - super expensive flight tickets, then paying to be on standby, then, in my situation having to book an extra night to be up at 2am to cue in standby the following day again, so I’m the first in the line when there’s availability is just ludicrous.
I go to this restaurant often & I’m never disappointed!! It’s everything you’d want in an urban upmarket restaurant situated in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. The owner is often there, greets everyone with a smile and the staff are just as pleasant. Absolutely love the food - the salmon (which can come as a small dish serving or a main course) is a must try! Keep it up!
On the 25th of August I got a call from Vodacom offering me a Fibre package special they were running with Vumatel. The consultant who assisted me - Joslyn Pillay, was very knowledgeable and even agreed to call me back the following day so I could do some research of my own over night. The following day, we agreed that the special was good, she took all my details and I asked her to please put this through as urgent as I had just moved into my apartment and required Fibre urgently. She assisted me right through until RAM couriers were supposed to deliver the router for Vodacom, but RAM dropped the ball and couldn’t get it to me on the day they said to expect it. Joslyn went a step further and got the router through to me with a senior Fibre technician from Vodacom on the Saturday following RAM not pitching on Friday and I was sorted. Day saved. Thanks Joslyn.
I had an encounter with RAM about two weeks ago. I personally don’t think anyone at the organization takes the time to read these reviews based on how so many customers are clearly frustrated. RAM is a huge courier company and it’s disappointing that they lack customer service on so many levels. I had to call in 3 times before I could finally be put through to a supervisor at the call center. I could name and shame everyone I spoke to on Friday the 2nd of September but it’s pointless. The supervisor said he’d come back to me, and he didn’t. Luckily my parcel was coming from Vodacom who arranged to dispatch the router through a senior Fibre technician from Vodacom, he arrived Saturday morning with the router and literally “brought me up to speed”.
I’ve dealt with Fastway Couriers possibly 5 times now. They send my packages with the same two guys for my delivery - Micheal and Andrew. This is smart - the guys know where they’re going, so no getting lost, no further delays. After my first delivery from Fastway which was slightly bumpy, but not in a frustrating way, I’ve never encountered any hiccups with this courier company. I’d recommend them. Thanks to Micheal & Andrew for always showing up.
