A Birthday Celebration Marred by Unprofessional Staff
I am writing this review with deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to Blockman restaurant in Parkhurst on 15/11/2025. We chose your establishment to celebrate a birthday, anticipating a special and enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly tarnished by the unprofessional conduct of your front-of-house staff. While seated near the bar, my party and I clearly overheard two hostesses making unkind and derogatory comments about us. We were there to celebrate a joyous occasion, and to hear staff members speaking about us in such a manner was not only shocking but also incredibly disrespectful. The food and ambiance were acceptable, but no aspect of a dining experience can compensate for feeling unwelcome and disrespected by the staff who are supposed to be the face of the restaurant. A birthday celebration should be met with warmth, not whispered ridicule. I hope you address this with your team. Staff training on basic professionalism and discretion, especially within earshot of guests, is crucial. We had hoped to become returning customers, but this incident has left us with no desire to return.

food was amazing
Found the restaurant by mistake, we were heading to a different restaurant but didn't like the setting, then we fortunately walked down the street to find my partner and I new favourite restaurant. The service is great and and everyone is polite. We didn't reserve but got a great table luckily. The food was amazing and the waiting time is not long. Great food, great vibe, great service

If You're A Foodie Then This One Is For You 😉
I loved this restaurant from the very first time I went. Their staff are very friendly helpful not to mention how brief they are with the menu as well. Food is deliciously cooked to perfection, very hearty and makes you feel like you're at home. I love everything about this restaurant and how you can have your dinner outside as well (my favorite thing to do) And I would definitely recommend trying it out
