Cape DSTV.
Alex from Cape DStv sent Talent to repair my DStv as I was getting no signal. They sold me a new satellite dish with new cables. Including labour, I paid R2050. They didn’t bother to check that all the channels were working. They didn’t leave until I paid them. Most of my channels don’t work. Spent an hour on phone with DStv helpline who ran through all the checks and concluded that these idiots didn’t install the dish etc correctly. I will sue them if I have to. I’m sick of bad service and always expected to pay there and then. Alex said he’ll send someone around tomorrow to fix. This means I have to take a day off work. Shocking. Cape DSTV horrible, horrible experience!
I had simple problem - until they convinced me that everything that I had, had to be replaced due to DSTV (who changes everything so that it is not compatible anymore). It ended with an account of nearly R7000. The installer also refused to leave the premises unless I immediately paid the amount on an invoice (that they send through on Whatsapp). He continuously asked me to check if the account was received yet - eventually he stood hovering over me, watching me do the banking transfer on my phone. I felt so uncomfortable and stressed that I did the payment twice. Fortunately my bank flagged the double payments. I felt intimidated and abused. This installer is not above board, you are their ***gy bank. There tactics are unacceptable.

Scammers Cape Dstv Installer
Be very careful of these scammers. They are not accredited. They will first tell you that they cannot print you an invoice then charges you an ridiculous amount not as quoted and will force you to pay into a Nedbank account just for you to find out that the work they have done is not completed. They never come back to you if you try to call them. Lloyd, his number is 076 098 7706

Be very careful of these scammers. They are not accredited. They will first tell you that they cannot print you an invoice then charges you an ridiculous amount not as quoted and will force you to pay into a Nedbank account just for you to find out that the work they have done is not completed. Fake Dstv merchant
This company came to reconnect my dstv cables after we bought new TV. Was charged over R7000! Queried this a few times with "will get back to you'. Went to Multichoice. This company is not an accredited agent. False advertising. Really been taken for a ride.

Dstv installation
Got Capedstv off the internet to check why the dstv is not playing. They said the entire satellite needed replacing. After paying the quote of over R2000, the tv is still not playing dstv and they either dont respond to my requests to come back and fix it, or they say they will send someone and then the person never comes. I feel like I have been robbed!
