I was just turned away 15 minutes ago from the entrance of chapmanspeak hotel because I did not want to order food and just want a cold beer. The lady and guy told me I must wait for bar to.open.This is pathetic and I will tell a lot of people of this bad experience.

We booked 2 nights at R4000. The room is literally next to a hill, no view. It's dark, no sunlight. It's a Double room, not Double/Twin. The swimming pool area looks nothing like the pictures. Only 2 chairs have covers and it's covered in what looks like green shadecloth that you'd use for shade netting. Not white covers. The room smells like cigarette smoke and soap. The halls smell terribly soapy as well. It's definitely overpriced for what you get. They also won't move us to a better room without paying more even though we paid more than currently advertised. You would probably be best off sleeping at a 4 star guesthouse. Only value is the the food . It tastes really good.

Booked to stay at the Chapmans Peak Hotel on my wedding day and told them numerous times it was my wedding day. Arrived at reception to book in and no congratulations or well wishes. Get to the room and there was NOTHING, no bubbly, no flowers, no card, NOTHING. Only stay at this hotel on your wedding day if you want them to ruin it.

I would like to compliment Chapmans Peak Hotel for helping me reshuffle my reservations. They were so helpful and so accomodating - a real testament to good service.<br> Thank you.
