Friday - 6 June 2025 - a group of 3 of us went to Cinecenter to watch Housefull 5. The movie theater was empty except for the 3 of us. The screen was dull. However, the biggest problem was the sound. It was just too loud. As there was nobody else, we went to request that management kindly turn down the volume as one member of the group was an elderly lady with cancer (there was a whole issue about her carrying her water bottle into the cinema which was thankfully resolved). They simply refused. Gave us excuses about bollywood movies just being loud. When business is so bad that only 3 people are in the theater, is it customary to treat those patrons poorly?? If there were more people present etc I could understand how management would not want to inconvenience anybody etc. 20 minutes into the movie, we had to leave due to it being unbearably loud. No refund. No apologies. R300 down the drain in this economy. Honestly, it's disappointing that this is the state of affairs in businesses today. Basically, save your money. Because it'll be a waste at Cinecenter liberty mall.

I am writing this with great anger and disappointment with Cinecentre Midlands Mall. The lack of respect and arrogance of their staff is totally appalling and infuriating. I went to Cinecentre with my wife on the 3rd of June (which is her birthday) to watch the 8pm Screening of Mission Impossible :Final Reckoning. We got to there at about 19:55 bought our 2 tickets then proceeded to buy our pop corn and drinks. The line was a bit long and our turn to buy only came at about 20:05 and we knew the movie had already begun so were in a bit of a rush. When I reached the count I called out my order which was 2 large pop corns and 2 large drinks. The lady serving at the counter whose nametag read Nqobile Ngcobo looked annoyed and force a Sawbona (Hellow) at me, I paused for a moment trying gauge the situation and she again looked at me with a straight face and said Sawbona. Her body was stiff her mood was tense and she was forcing me to greet her which imp**** she wouldn’t proceed with the order unless I backtrack and greet her by force. I said my Sawbona but now it was cold as I was annoyed by her arrogance and condescending attitude. I then asked for the manager Sanjay and alerted him of the situation, to which he deeply apologized for the lady’s behaviour and kindly asked her to apologize. The lady did not show any remorse and told her manager in the face that she will never apologize. That scene of insubordination left me with many questions about the way your establishment trains the staff. My mood for the night was ruined and so was my wife’s as all this transpired right in front of her. I was not going to report this incident by it kept bothering me as it might occur in the future to other clients. This can negatively effect your business if it has not already.

My son and i went to watch Captain America 3D. It was more like 1D. The picture quality and sound was terrible. Even the trailers were just the same. I complained to management who halfheartedly apologized. They promised us complimentary vouchers. Whiich never materialized.
