Checking into the hotel is an absolute nightmare. It is not the type of place that you would want to be in. There was lack of communication between the hotel and the booking agent. The welcome might as well be a farewell. It takes ages to get hot water in the shower. You would image that one would not have to run the shower for too long in order to get hot water given the water restrictions in the city. Let’s not get started on the breakfast. The cutlery is dirty and still has pieces of food stuck on it. The coffee is ice cold and the general mood of the hotel leaves little to be desired.

This is by far the most ridiculous hotel experience I have ever had. I had made a booking online to check-in at 10:00 pm when I arrived the room was not ready and the hotel made up some stupid stories as they trying to stall me. By then they had already deducted money off my account and refused to check me in when i complained. I called the GM of the hotel he gave me attitude as well instead of trying to hear my sie of the story. Do yourselves a favour and stay away from there.

This is by far the most ridiculous hotel experience I have ever had. Made a booking for clients and received a complaint about cleanliness of the rooms. Long stay clients constantly found their room not made. Took the matter to management and still was not resolved. Cleaning staff showed bad service when told to clean etc I called the hotel and spoke with the manager who did not do a proper introduction and was unable to assist even with all the requirements that was needed. In a nutshell, I don’t believe people or tourists should be treated like that regardless of where they come from and which language they speak. I’m hoping to hear from the management feedback about this matter Thanks

<p>My humiliating experience at the Circa Luxury Apartment Hotel in Cape town, South Africa</p> <p> </p> <p>Everything seemed #Rosy during my stay at the Circa Luxury Apartment Hotel in Cape Town until it was time to check out yesterday.</p> <p> </p> <p>As one of the guy’s on duty rung up my bill while I waited impatiently so I could get busy with my last few hours in Cape Town, suddenly, there was an item on the bill that I could not identify with.</p> <p> </p> <p>“Why are you charging me for 2 pillow cases?” I asked in despair.</p> <p> </p> <p>“Well, we have to charge you for it because it has a stain,” the dark-haired hunk across the desk responded.</p> <p> </p> <p>And even though he was good looking, I actually lost all respect for him. He looks good, grooms good, but where in the world did his brains disappear to?</p> <p> </p> <p>I can understand that business in all aspects requires logic, however for this one, logic went out of the window. And more out of the window when he said let me call the manager.</p> <p> </p> <p>C’mon, where is your head? Why are you calling the manager? Does your mind have a mind of it’s own? And why do you even work for a company that humiliates its customers?</p> <p> </p> <p>Then came manager feeling himself once again. I had already met him the day before for a different conversation around my booking and here I was meeting him again…on a bad note.</p> <p> </p> <p>“Come with me #Mum!” and I though to myself, no he did not just call me #MUM!</p> <p> </p> <p>So, at this point, I was very confused. I had though about Imstagram #Live for a video that would capture this ridiculous never-ending painful moment at the Circa Luxury Apartment Hotel and set my soul free, but I was scared. I know it sounds funny when I say I was scared, but I was scared for my life because of ……”what if they did something to me in retaliation of my instagram live video on play and nobody every found out?”</p> <p> </p> <p>After 15 painful minutes of this #ish, I asked them to swipe my card so I can leave, because even God knows, I needed to leave.</p> <p> </p> <p>Here I am back in Johannesburg today and because I do not agree with this and how it went down, I am sharing this experience to inform you who has not checked into this hotel so you can know #betta!</p> <p>I am also sharing it to empower you so you are not embarrassed/exposed/humiliated. We all go through different life experiences and if we do not share certain stories, we leave lots of people getting hurt & broken. <p>I BOOKED 2 APARTMENTS AT CIRCA SO CALLED LUXURY APARTMENTS IN CAPE TOWN ON BOOKING .COM FOR 5 DAYS . THE DAY WE ARRIVED WE WERE TIRED AND WANTED TO RELAX AS IT WAS COLD I PUT ON THE EXTREMELY NOISY AIRCON INTHE ROOM AND MY SON SAID HE WOULD LAY DOWN IN THE LOUNGE AS HE WAS FEELING TO HOT TO SLEEP WITH THE AIRCON ON ,IMAGINE MY SURPRISED SHOCK WHEN THE SLEEPER COUCH COULD NOT OPEN,I IMMEDIATELY FONED RECEPTION ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT I HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL R300.00 A DAY FOR THE USE OF THE COUCH WHICH WAS LOCKED I FOUND IT TO BE UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AS I PAID FOR THE WHOLE APARTMENT.THE NEXT DAY I WAS SENT ANOTE INFORMING ME THAT THE HOTEL HAD TAKEN OFF R500.00 BECAUSE I WAS SMOKING IN THE TOILET,I WAS VERY UPSET AND WENT TO SEE THE SO CALLED MANAGER .HE WAS VERY RUDE AND ABRUPT AND REFUSED TO HELP WITH THE ISSUE OF THE COUCH AND FOR TAKING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION,I PLEADED AND REQUESTED A REFUND SO I COULD BOOK AT ANOTHER HOTEL WHICH WOULD BE MUCH MORE HOSPITABLE AS I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AT CIRCA BUT HE REFUSED.THE CLEANING STAFF JUST ENTER THE APARTMENT WITHOUT KNOCKING EVEN THOUGH I HAD ONLY A TOWEL AROUND ME AS I HAD JUST COME OUT OF THE SHOWER,THEY DID NOT EVEN APPOLOGISE ,MY BOOKING HAD BREAKFAST INCLUDED ,AND THE SELECTION LEFT ALOT TO BE DESIRED,BUT THE 2 DAY I WAS TOLD TO PAY FOR BREAKFAST WHICH I REFUSED AS IT WAS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE I PAID,THE PARKING WHICH THEY CHARGE AN EXORBITANT AMMOUNT FOR IS EXTREMELY STEEP AND DANGEROUS TO GO IN AND OUT OF. <p>I've had bad experiences at numerous hotels etc. But on the morning of the 20th July around 9:30 standing in the lobby/front desk area of this Circa Hotel , and seeing a young lady ( who's a guest at the hotel too ) being shouted at by the owner/general manager ( not sure of his title ) was the worst experience i've come across in cape town! He shouted at her infront of everyone in the lobby. Why would a GUY of age shout at a young lady after she's paying to stay in his hotel. Reception is rude ( the female ) and just everything about this hotel is sad ( management and staff ) i will not reccomend this hotel not even for one night. </p>
