Today I went to clicks located in Heathway Square (cresta area) asking for an advice from their pharmacy on what to apply on a 3 year old baby with severe chicken pox. The pharmacist recommended PoxClin CoolMousse and Allergex syrup, I purchased both products based on his word because he is a pharmacist after all but then when I left the store I sent a pic of what I bought to my fiance and she asked me to go and exchange Poxclin as someone from her family previously used it and it cause severe rash on the baby skin and "maybe" the baby was allergic to one of the ingredients used in the products so she can't risk it on our baby's skin. Just 10min or less after the purchase I went back to the store to ask if i can exchange it and I was told that they dont do exchange on medication even if it's not open and that's the policy. To me it felt like its just a business to them than helping people. I called Clicks head office and they gave me the same answer not putting into consideration that I went to their store and ASK FOR HELP or rather say recommendation/advice on what to put on my baby's skin, they didn't give me options to choose from. Their pharmacist recommended ONLY 2 product which I purchased and now I want to exchange 1 for something else but to them company policy its important than helping out customers. What if I use that product and my baby gets more sick??? Then I'll be forced to sue the whole Clicks group and I'll make sure that they get discredited from the Board of Health. Product was not used, the box is still sealed but still they don't want assist. I'd rather go to other Pharmacies that I know would help in such situations than going to Clicks again.

On 2 occasion my wife and I were DOUBLE BILLED for items; if we didnt query they would have got away with what I believe is a **** not by management but BY some of the cashiers and maybe working in tandem with a stock controller. The modus operandi is they double bill a product hoping the customer doesnt pick up the error in the moment, the customer has been double billed so clicks is not the loser but the customer is.The cahier still balances at the close of business but it means they now have an additional product on shelf ; which the cashier later pockets and maybe sells on the black market for a third of the price or whatever, there maybe more than 1 culprit involved ; also the product is usuallly something small of middle value but in this case the cashier was greedy; usually it maybe an item of average value which the customer doesnt notice as an overcharge; but in my wife's case it was a tube of face cream to the value of R350 to R400..When she queried that a bill which should have totalled about R890 came to about R1200 or thereabouts; they apologised profusely and gave her a refund in cash. The reason I'm raising this because it happened to me also at Clicks Cresta; in my case the value was far less; around R50 but the fact of the matter is there seems to be a trend. The customer is basically paying for a product that the staff are *****ing. The service generally is good but due to the above and management maybe being unaware and lax - 1 star is appropriate
