Cosmic Comics operate like ****mers. I placed orders through their website and paid for the items, but now their website has been broken for weeks and there is no way for me to follow progress on the order. When I contact them to ask about it, they simply ignore me like I'm some piece of trash, not a client. Read others reviews. The same thing happened to me. They have my money and now they are ignoring my messages and requests for updates. I asked for a refund and even that message is being flatly ignored. Don't do business with these people. They are useless and should not be doing business in South Africa. We deserve better than what these selfish ****** are dishing up.

Cosmic Comics operate like ****mers. If I could review less I would. Absolute horrid experience. Comsic comics canal walk branch in canal walk was excellent however evident higher ups did not care about the store and lead to it being closed. My bad experience came when I placed an order with one Brett Thorpe who was very eager to make large sales and orders for statues of high value. I placed 2 separate orders back in August 2023. 1 arrived within 2 weeks the other however never arrived. It took me months on months asking for updates with zero communication. Brett Thorpe informed me he was no longer working at cosmic comics and everything went to the canal walk branch. The twins who worked there brilliant people informed me they aren't dealing with things as being in the shop already consumes so much time and effort that they coule not do the orders instead a lady by the name of Stella in their head office was. Months of contacting and asking for updates Stella told me that Brett had not added the order correctly and she had only done so now. This was 8 months after placing original order. Shortly after Stella suddenly was not replying or communicating and suddenly she no longer works there either leaving ME to follow up once again with this horrid company. I finally get through to Shane the owner who clearly doesn't care for his customers and brushes me off to another woman who tells me there is no existing order and Stella failed to do her part. I provided all original invoices and correspondence and she finally gave me proof of my order. And then goes radio silent. ZERO communication or updates whatsoever about anything. After a year of waiting for my Sauron statue and ME having to constantly ask for updates I gave up and requested a refund. I was told my refund would be done Monday 19th August 24. I once again with no communication reach out to Shane for him to tell me he hasn't in fact issued the refund and only did it a week later the following Monday. I placed my order August 2023 and heard absolutely nothing regarding my order for 5 months before I reached out the first time. Every time I did so I was given a different reason as to why it's taking so long, problems with suppliers, not yet shipped. What's worse is I was promised by Stella at head office it would arrive March 2024 well that was a lie. When Shane's receptionist finally gave me my proper invoice she could not give me any real ETA on when it will arrived she send me a picture just says not shipped. Shocking absolutely shocking how you'd take thousands of rands provide ZERO communication to your customers. Not once apologize. People have jobs and lives this company is your job and you refuse to provide proper communication. Customer has to reach our snippets of information. It is very clear cosmic comics as a company are a joke. NEVER place an order with this company.

Sadly what used to be a good company has gone downhill fast. I preordered a figure, several months past its expected arrival date I cancelled the order and asked for a refund of the R1000 deposit. At the same time, they short-delivered a comic order, and I was owed a further R99. I was promised a refund of the R1099 in May 2024, and by July still nothing. All telephone numbers go unanswered, no emails are responded to, even added my complaint to several of their FB posts to no avail. Looks like a dying business where the owners are willing to ***** and cheat their online customers as you have no way to contact them. Buyer beware, rather support Smallville, Critters and Comics, or Comic Warehouse - avoid Shane and his grift like the plague.

I don’t even know where to begin, my entire dealings with Cosmic Comics has been terrible. From cancelling my order then trying to make me reorder at a higher price to not refunding me the money after they cancelled my order and after I said I would hand this over, only did they release my monies back after 3 months of back and forth. Recently left a review on Google about them, but I see they removed their Google reviews, I was told I should send a message on Facebook, but I was blocked, I have been sending messages via Instagram and it's been taxing, chasing after something that you fully paid for and not having any idea, have the decency to at least reply, if a customer is concerned about an item that you promised a month ago then you have no idea but "would follow up" and not come back about what is going on, it's disappointing. I am going to speak to my lawyer, I do not care anymore, you can keep the items that you have no clue about and give me back my money. I am tired of being ignored, it would be a different story if the items were not paid for. Do not waste your money on preorders, they also made me pay for an order early saying it was coming in December 2022 - this only came September 2023, bad business practice.

These guys used to be a good business to work with, but their Facebook auctions go for ****. No replies, no feedback or anything. Rather go to smallville comics. This guy sucks and i want my money back.

Pathetic!!! I’ve been waiting for a refund since March for two collectibles I’ve purchased in early December The customer service is dismal, each response time taking at least 48hrs if not more. Please don’t use this store for any reason because if there is any inconvenience with your order they will take your money and run. I still have not received my refund after being told I’d receive it in the day.

If I could give a rating below 1 Star I would. I honestly have never dealt with a company that is so disorganized and where the owners treat their employees and clients with a lack of professionalism, respect and a level of childishness I have never seen before. I had 3 pre-orders with them in the following order: Dementor Iron Studios - PAID IN FULL Hermione DLX Iron Studios - Paid Deposit and then some Dumbledore DLX Iron Studios - Paid a nice chunk of the overall price. I was informed by Brandon or Brett- they change the person in-charge of the Iron Studios orders so frequently I can't even remember which one - that I needed to make payment in FULL for The Dementor statue as it would be arriving in 4-6 weeks back in APRIL 2023. Payment was made in full as requested- fast forward to FEBRUARY 2024 and I still hadn't received my statue. When I would try to follow up - I was met with - "When we have information from the supplier we will let you know." CONSTANTLY FOR ALMOST A YEAR. About two weeks ago I was contacted by Karyn, one of the owners, informing me that I had to pay the remainder on the Dumbledore statue - bearing in mind that this was the LAST statue I had pre-ordered. How can I make payment in full AGAIN when I hadn't received The Dementor statue, and it looked like the Hermione statue had just disappeared. Karyn then informed me that she would get into contact with the supplier - however she never kept me posted with what she said or how long it could potentially take to get feedback. At this point after waiting about 3 or 4 days without getting a response - not even an acknowledgment of the messages I had sent her - I managed to get through to her PA - who informed me that she would get into contact with me. Surprise , surprise - who contacts me - not Karyn - but Shane - the other owner. I then proceeded to tell him that I wasn't happy as I was being messed around by his company - he then - in typical Shane fashion - proceeded to scream and swear at me left, right and centre - wanting to know who had given me Karyn's "personal" number etc ... I told him I got it from the Iron Studios group were she was an admin and I had receipts and screenshots to prove it - which was sent to him. Long story short - he was telling me some sob story about how Brett was ****ming them out of money - and how Brett never gave me the correct price on the Dementor statue - when in actual fact - it was an ex-employee who had done the pre-order for me - at the time I didn't even know who Brett was. This was an example of his need to blame shift onto their employees - which is something he likes to do - instead of taking responsibility for the business practises happening under their roof. I requested a refund - I got it - after having to remind Shane to do so - and again - I received no correspondence from Shane or Karyn or ANY of their staff - that the refund had been processed. ALL IN ALL - I will never support this company again - and I advise those willing to read this review to do the same. I honestly don't know how they have a rating above 1 Star but it also seems - based off of other reviews I have read - that this behaviour from Karyn and Shane - seems to be the norm. I also find it funny that throughout the reviews I have read - where a customer was dissatisfied - Shane's number is given in an attempt to sort out the grievance. Yes - contact him to get sworn to Hogwarts and back and receive the "best" customer service from THE BUSINESS OWNER.

Absolutely terrible services, I must say, I usually feel quite unwelcome when visiting these stores. There stock is also a nightmare! taking half of what they have from there main stores and sending it around to other branches is quite frustrating. What used to be the cool local comic store is now trying to commercialise. Impacting there stock, service and quality. I will not be supporting cosmic comics further more.
