I had a voucher for a spa treatment that was valid for 3 years. I went for the treatment and when I came out they then said the voucher was not valid, even though, on the voucher it shows the expiry date and I went before this date. I had to pay them and have been fighting for months to try get my money back, with no success. This is outright *****, theft and unjustified enrichment under the law. I am taking this to my legal team out of principle now so that nobody else will be ****med.

I tried out my first laser session at the beginning of March 2020 to my surprise it was a pleasant experience and bought advanced sessions at La Lucia. Thereafter COVID took the world by storm and government introduced lockdown. However in June when personal care professions were allowed to open Deluxe Laser was uncontactable and nor did they follow up with my appointments. I finally managed to get hold of them and was told they changed their number. I requested a refund considering the current situation that I don't feel comfortable and I was advised that I should read their T&Cs. Clearly Deluxe Laser is the ONLY INDUSTRY IN THE WORLD THAT HAS CATERED FOR COVID!!! When I mentioned this the lady said she will contact head office and get back to me ... guess what I have not heard from her! I guess DELUXE LASER PRIDES THEMSELVES IN STEALING CUSTOMERS MONEY FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED

I would like to state what expectations I had from a laser treatment at deluxe laser I had in Claremont Cavendish mall - Removal of hair on my shoulder - Or just a reduction What I ended up paying a pretty penny for was uncontrollable hair growth on my shoulder and more hair growth in places I had none due to listening to them stating they know what they doing, I would like to paint a story. My first day there was for a patch test where the lady wasn’t sure why I was there she wanted to know what places I wished to remove my hair (she thought I was there for proper session), which I then told her she must be mistaken I am just here for a patch test, which she was like oh, she has just been really busy, which I could understand I decided to treat myself for my birthday and get the hair removed on my shoulders, my first session they used a hair removal cream which I did not mind, and when they began the laser the pain was on 3-7 level which I thought was normal because it was my first time.(Website Advertises painless) Second time I think I had another lady which told me no they never used cream they only shave, which I then advised her when you shave my hair it stimulates the hair growth and she assured me that because we doing the laser it would cancel out the hair growth. You might be asking why I am telling you this: - Deluxe laser staff lie, only reason I can think is because they not trained correctly. - I called a couple times to explain to them 90% of the times calls were never returned. I was told that they can give me couple extra sessions 2 R800+ I told them I will think about it as there is no guarantee (They gave me 2 complimentary sessions due to their shaving mess up also). - When they called me to confirm my next appointment told them if they cant do 4 sessions for that price as there was no guarantee, they said they would have to check with management when the same lady called to confirm, we can I agreed to the next appointment. So back to today I go in for my appointment, she asks me a couple general questions, after the session I go the counter to pay and she is like for two session its R800+ , I asked her just to confirm I heard right and she says the same , as it was closing time and I came straight from work, I was exhausted I spoke to her about our deal which she has no recollection about , - Reason for this story. - They lie , which you don’t expect from a company so big - They not trained correctly , whenever there is a issue they use the same keywords over and over - Ended up with more hair , and bad taste - I paid R400+ for the one session and left the place - False advertising “100% painless permanent hair removal “ I left out a lot of the points as well if you like to hear more, more than welcome to ask, So to end it off would not recommend this place to anyone

Deluxe laser as a company accepts no responsibility for offering a service of Laser Hair removal to you that they GUARANTEE results Once they have your money all the risk lies with you the client. They falsely advise the number of treatments required to get the desired results. On seeking recourse for lack of results They stand behind. “ company policy” as an excuse to lack of performance. My son and I after 2 years of paying R34000 are at square 1 we may as well thrown the money in the bin. After numerous requests and communications with Deluxe they were not prepared to refund me a begrudgingly reduced amount of R25000. ( i even at a big stretch tried to take some responsibility, and in a spirit of compromise agreed to reduce what i had paid ) They initially offered me a credit voucher to use in their stores. Honestly why would i ever accept a voucher for a laser service i already had absolutely no faith in They eventually after many emails agreed to R15000 and wanted me to sign a confidentiality clause. I wonder why , something to hide. I chose to reject the money offered and rather choose the social media route to warn and advise people to not support a company that dupe clients by offering special after special. To commit to a service that they well know the chances will not work in the required time frame and you have no choice but to carry on with the next treatment because you've already paid so much money. So maybe just a few more you'll get the desired results, BUT not to be. All the blame is placed on me , time frame , wrong hair color, etc etc. the excuses and different “REASONS “ were actually laughable. Even their brochure info has been adjusted since they first opened. Clearly what they first promised has been a problem. They offer treatment packages 5 plus 1 free, now lately 4 plus 2 free and even now a 50 % of any treatment they offer. Ask your self the question why ? Deluxe are opening branches all over and while im sure there are maybe some success stories and I hope there are. My opinion is if you offer a service that you guarantee permanent hair removal if you don't deliver, surely you should refund the client , bare minimum. Accept responsibility , learn from it , and adjust your business plan accordingly. Not decline, offer all sorts of excuses They even said they gave free treatments , which they did. But at the time they didn't even know that they were due to shoddy accounting. Only after i was so unhappy with the results and did a summary did they twig. The point however was wether paid or not the results promised were not forthcoming. So its morally wrong that a company gets to hide behind company policy and you pay a fortune and its ok for them. They are offering specials , opening branches promising and not delivering. And you can kiss your money paid goodbye. Its a matter of principal and morally offensive Be warned and Aware Deluxe laser is only interested in your money Once they have it , you're on your own. Deluxe have twisted my words and tried to paint me as a scaley person . I have nothing to hide And Yes Deluxe you dam right I would love all my money back for a service i never got , that doesn't make me a blackmailer as you have called me. You had many opportunities to do the honorable thing I was at Sorbet 2 days ago. They have a sign that says if you not Happy with your treatment You dont have to Pay. Huge Shout out to Sorbet for standing bu their service so as for Deluxe hair laser removal Rather try company's that actually deliver what they promise for your hard earned money.
