I was honestly dreading my visit to Home Affairs, as my son needed a passport. To my surprise, the entire process was painless — we received the passport in just 8 days, and collection was smooth and well within reason. What truly stood out was Cindy at the door. She is an absolute star! Ever-smiling, friendly, professional, and courteous, she set the tone for a positive experience right from the start. Unlike the negative stories one often hears, Cindy offered honest assistance with no hint of soliciting a bribe — just hard-working dedication. Even when I offered to buy her a cold drink (the humidity in the Pavilion Mall ba*****t was extreme), she politely declined with a smile and said, “No thank you. Please don’t.” That simple act spoke volumes about her integrity and commitment. Cindy, you are a shining example of what public service should be. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful day into a pleasant and memorable experience.

I don't know why we bother with online bookings as tje walk ins were getting preferance over us And ince inside I specifically told th lady Im doing my ID and Passport She only did the application for id si when i paid they couldn't help with the Passport as i have to wait for the id to reflect Overhall the staff think they doing us a favor when they are getting paid to work also they need to amend their system of working

These people have no regard for others at all. On the portal it is said that an appointment is not required for biometrics and yet when you get there, the security guard tells you to return home and make an appointment. This is truly frustrating. The manager does not reply to emails and the phone rings to no avail. On the email I copied hacc@dha.gov.za as well but nobody has bothered to respond.
