This is a **** organization. There was a Dino World festival scheduled for the 14 -16 November in Port Elizabeth. I bought the group of 8 ticket to celebrate my sons second birthday on 15 November at the festival. On the 5th of November I received an email stating the event was postponed and if we cannot attend the future dates, we should send an email with our details to talia@dinoworldmzansi.com to request a refund. On the 7th of November, I sent an email requesting a refund. I had my name, surname, banking details and also attached the ticket to request for the refund. I got an email back requesting I send my name, surname, banking details and ticket number. I sent another emailing stating " my previous email literally has all the information you are requesting. I even attached the ticket itself" I have since not gotten any other response to my daily emails to them asking for my money back. Now I saw on Facebook that the event dates were changed to 13-15 November 2026. My child's birthday is this Saturday and I still haven't received my money back so I can make alternative arrangements. Do not support this **** organization, they will ***** your money and ignore you.

The Mall@Carnival Brakpan show - While the animatronics were awesome, and the kids enjoyed the reptile show - do kind of feel like what you're seeing on the FB pics doesn't tie up with the reality much. Almost two different worlds entirely. Unlike what looks like an entire day event on the advertising photos, there was no market or stalls, bare minimum in terms of rides, can't even buy a cold drink or a packet of chips. The only things for sale are super overpriced toys. The only 'free' activity was one jumping castle, and one fossil table, where online they say loads of free photo opportunities, jumping castles, playground, etc - you even need to pay for the things to take photos in/on as well, even though they advertise free photo opportunities and egg photos. Ride wise isn't really for bigger kids - a little train, a Dino slide and one working animatronic to sit on - again, the photos online have bumper cars, and all sorts, and at R50 a shot, considering the ticket price, makes it a little excessive. With nothing else to do, you definitely can't sit there for longer than 30 minutes after you've seen the animatronics, because the kids will spend you out of house and home for the handful of rides. For smaller kids, you buy and pay the R50 ticket for the 'dino play ground' - my son is 3.5 years old. He was scared on the netting, but an adult wasn't allowed to climb over and help him without paying (like I'm not getting on the stuff), and he climbed back out within 3 minutes - again, being 3 and not understanding, and when he tried to return maybe 5 minutes later, we had to pay again. Should be some understanding or consideration from the staff in terms of that. You really could make this into a day event, and we probably would've stayed the entire day, and shopped markets, eaten, etc. if some more though went into the process outside of the exhibitions. Luckily the kids enjoyed the entirety of the hour we spent there (again for a crazy price), but we ended up going upstairs to WiiJump because the planned day out to Dino World was over and pointless to stay at in record time.

Dino World in Secunda was all that and was not all that. My daughter is a big fan of Dinosaurs, so Dino World was a no brainer, looking at it from a child's perspective it was an opportunity of a life time. She enjoyed herself thoroughly and was able to enjoy seeing her favourite dinosaurs on a life like scale. However, from a parents' perspective a lot more could have been done for the experience to be worth while. There was no place to sit, enjoy and take in surroundings - we were in the sun from 11am - 3pm, this is a lot on tiny humans and they also NEED shade! A area for just food and seating would be sufficient. More stalls to enjoy the 'market' area while waiting in between shows or just extending the family outing. The reptile exhibition was very educational and my daughter learned a lot - she was repeating what she learned to everyone HOWEVER there were no seat to sit on and the audience had to sit on the ground, the snake handler did his best to keep order but it could have worked more in his favour if there were seats and a barricaded section. The whole area could have been more dino themed, with little ornaments or grass or dinos placed around the area, even covering the ***** bars where dinos stood out would have made the experience more life like. Lastly, a lot of money for such an experience is not at all worth it, seeing the happiness it brought my daughter was worth it.

I had high hopes for the Dino World experience, especially given the hefty price tag. With the anticipation built up by glowing adverti*****ts and the extravagant ticket price, I expected something groundbreaking, engaging, and worth every penny. Sadly, what we got was far from that. The Facebook advertising was impressive. However, that was where the excitement ended. The Outdoor Dino World Section B looked amazing approaching the Venue. There was 2 standing working Dinosaurs and one hanging on a cable in the tree, The Triceratops was standing there with the Electric cables hanging around his neck, unplugged. The Indoor Dino Word Section A was in a big tent with no ventilation. The Dinosaurs was standing on the tar road surface with no thoughtful elements to make it feel “real”. Between the dividers you could see broken elements that maybe should have been part of the expo. Section C & D what a waist of time… The reptile show was unprofessional with the guy presenting the show saying how his mic broke and he is trying to do the show just with his voice. No place to sit and barely being able to breath. Unventilated again. Not only were we deprived from oxygen but also the opportunity to experience the Dino World fantasy. I don’t even know how a Puppet show can be called a Street “Theatre” show. The Jumping castle AREA was non existent- There was 1 Jumping castle standing one side, in the sun burning away. The Picnic and Market are was a joke. Paid R400 for 5 Slushy puppies. Picnic area? What Picnic area? The tar surface area? Or is that the small piece of grass where the music was basting our ears away? The Amu*****t rides and activities was a *******. R50 a Ticket with rides costing 2 Tickets per child per ride? This is after paying a R1000 plus just for the tickets to enter. As for the much-touted "wow factor," there was none. What was meant to be jaw-dropping turned out to be overhyped and underwhelming. The whole experience felt like a flashy, expensive package with very little to do. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being taken advantage of, paying a Thousand rand plus for something that could have been so much better for half the price. In the end, the Dino world expo failed to live up to its promises — and even worse, it failed to justify its steep ticket price. For the money I spent, I could have had a much more enriching experience elsewhere, and that’s the most disappointing part. This was suppose to be an unforgettable experience… it turned out to be a forgettable letdown and the talk of the town, not for how amazing it was, but for how disappointing it was.

Dino World advertised an event for Ermelo for dates 20 to 23 February 2025, for which I bought tickets. Dino World then sent an e-mail on 07 January 2025, informing ticket holders that the venue moves to Secunda, dates 03 to 06 April 2025. However, later on, the dates on the Facebook Page were confirmed as 06 to 09 March 2025. The e-mail from Dino World dating 07 January 2025, clearly stated that if I were unable to attend on the new dates, I will be fully refunded. I have been struggling ever since to get any type of response from Dino World to process the refund. None of my e-mails have not been responded to. Eventually got a generic response via the Facebook Messenger. After many back-and-forth messaging, finally the response on 20 February 2025 that my name has apparently been "put on a list" but that they are working on a backlog. Today, 06 March 2025, when I followed up for the umpteenth time, was again given the same generic response that my name is on the list. Obviously, this did not sit well with me, and I requested a confirmed date when refund will be processed. Was then told they will only start with the refund process 2 weeks from now. Why only in 2 weeks?? The event will be gone by then. Why refund me weeks after the event is finished and moved on to the next town?

These people are **** artist. I have been trying for over a year to get refund for show that was cancelled and they never respond. I have been given a email adress of refunds@dinoworldsa.com, but this about as useful as writing a letter to Santa Claus. I would. Original date for show was 23 September 2023, which was cancelled. As I have read and understood, this was due to organiser (Dino World SA) not getting necessary permits. I would appreciate my money back and as per the other comments here, be careful when using these people

I have made a purchase LAST YEAR for tickets for my family for this event. The event was canceled, postponed and whatever else. The first time this happened, i emailed and called for a refund. I kept on getting new dates even though my refund was requested. Only on Nov 2024, after a whole year of purchasing tickets, i get a response hoping to reconsider my refund and come to this event. My husband works out of the country and cannot take the family to this event which was placed for Sunday, 17th Nov, and i have a funeral to attend to, as a family passed away this morning. So i cannot make it to this event and i want my FULL REFUND, this is bull**** service.
