Had my fridge repaired by Mike. Everything went well up to the completion of the repairs. Paid Mike R3400 in cash on the spot in good faith. He promised to mail me my invoice which he never did. Part of the repairs was replacing the fan of the fridge. The fridge ran loud. Mike assured me this was normal. I waited out the week but the fridge ran so loud I could hear it through the entire house. Mike promised to come and replace the fan with a "quieter one" After 2 weeks of promising the come he finally said he had the part and will be at my place in half an hour. Needles the say he never pitched and has since been ignoring all my calls. When I call him from a different number he drops my call as soon as I identify myself. I am totally disgusted and disappointed in him. I wish I had checked these reviews before I contacted him.

Like the other reviewers, the 6 month guarantee didn't last 6 hours.No refund, of course.But my wife is an advocate, so I followed her advice and got my attorneys to claim a refund and legal costs, so it should cost them a lot more than a simple refund.

Paid R950 for a technician to come out and repair our freezer. Freezer wasn't repaired after we were guaranteed for 6 months and when I tried to call back there was no reply and no feedback received. Had to pay another R500 to get a new fan for the freezer and fix it ourselves. Totally destroyed my faith in human nature.

I contacted Directappliance to help with repairing a fridge-freezer I'd bought. They came out as advertised, "fixed" the problem, and left. 3 hours later we realized the freezer was not working. I contacted the technician to come back and finish the repair. After several messages and one empty promise of a return, I contact the "manager/owner" from the website's number (https://directappliance.co.za/). He was very apologetic and said he would get a technician on it. It has now been 3 days and nothing has happened: no contact, no repair, so no working freezer, no frozen food capability!! They took R1600 for a repair they never completed!
