I went to Dr Kaka about 2 weeks ago, who diagnosed me with strep throat and gave me medication to treat it. This doctor is an absolute GEM. He has a gentle, quiet voice and a kind bedside manner which immediately put me at ease. His staff at the counter when you come into the rooms are helpful and friendly. The tariff he charges is a very reasonable flat tariff which includes all medication at their rooms. I found the experience very pleasant and will definitely return as this practice is helpful towards the elderly who have no medical aid. Muldersdrift is a little further to drive from where I live but definitely worth every km. I went early just as the rooms opened and waiting time was about 50 minutes. It is a busy practice but is run so professionally and in such a truly caring and helpful manner that many other doctors' rooms can learn from this establishment on how to treat people. It is not a money-making racket, it is truly a family practice. Thanks to Doc Mo. He is my hero.

Like we all know if you don't have a medical aid you are *****ed. Someone referred me to Dr M Kaka. We gave them a try. We went to the one in Muldersdrift in Krugersdorp for my husband when he got sick. We had to wait and sit in the hot sun for hours and the service that we got was ****! They weren't professional what so ever. Also they told us that his medication is free and he must come back for a follow up to see if he feels better. So when we went back after 2 weeks, we had to pay again. So that cost us over R1300.00. Now I got sick and the nearest doctor for me was Dr M Kaka in Florida. So I went there and the ladies infront was very rude when I went in and asked about the consultation fees and so forth. But I decided to go because I didn't have a choice. A consultation is R430.00. The doctor who assisted me said to me how she is going to help and we are going to do a sonar and blood test but first I must go onto a gluten free and dairy free diet. With medication she is subscribing for me that I must get from my pharmacy. So I did what she said and I didn't feel any better. She also said to me that the blood test will be less than R2000.00. I didn't have a problem with that. I gave the doctor a call and said to her I don't feel better can we do the sonar and the blood test. So she said yes I must come in and see her and she is very excited to help me and we are going to fix my problem or rule out what the actual problem and what the causes is. Well, she didn't do a sonar or blood test. She referred me to a state clinic and gave me medication for my stomach. I had to pay R430.00 again + another R200.00 for the medication. So I had to pay R1500.00 for nothing! R1500.00 for a refferal letter to a state clinic. So well ****ing done Dr Kaka's for stealing our money and promise to help us. I really hope no one in there right mind will come to you for help because you are lying about your services and you are thieves that are just after our hard working money.

I went to this Dr at 17 Kathleen Avenue in Florida because of the normal cold, waited in the queue from 13:50, only started being attended to at 15:30, my experience at this Dr was a nightmare. I called in to find out how much the consultation is before going there, was told it's R400 including medication. Everything was done to check whatever had to be checked, covid test was done, nobody told me I'd have to pay R120 separately, Dr instructed the nurse to do covid test, none of them explained that it'll be an additional R120. After collecting the medication, when I'm about to pay, now I'm told I have to pay R520, when I ask why R520 when over the phone I was told R400, the Dr and nurse only then they told me Covid test is R120. They started arguing in front of me, blaming each other, Dr saying the nurse did the test therefore it was her duty to tell me, nurse also argued that the Dr request covid test to be done she was supposed to tell me as she's the one that had requested the test to be done. Eventually she came towards me, telling me she's in charge and she's telling me to pay whatever needs to be paid. Adding in her statement that a lesson has been learnt amongst them that next time they will confirm first if a patient has the money to pay. Still insisting that she's the one in charge and not the nurse or receptionist, I will have to pay that extra R120 or call my employer to pay for it. What's sad is I never requested covid test to be done because I knew it was a normal cold, not covid! I'll never set my foot at this Dr again, with equipments that's out of service!!!!! She's horrible towards patients when it comes to money. Never again!!!!!
